First crack at Uniforms and Logos

I am starting a small league and decided to try and make some logos and uniforms for the minor league teams. This is my first try at it so any feedback would be appreciated.

Williamsport All-Stars

Very nicely and tastefully done.

Good colors and you coordinated them very well.

Being very nitpicky, on the Blue jersey I would move the Willamsport up just a little to avoid seeing the button underneath the script... it looks like you have room to do insert it in the button gap.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll try and move that script up a little, I didn't catch that. I like to keep it simple, especially since i'm still figuring all the programs out. Keep an eye out for some more, I have seven more to do.

Good stuff. I like the logos that break their circular frame.

My only criticism is the lighting. It looks to me like most of the logos use a lighting effect: the upper-left is brighter than the rest. In my opinion, that upper-left bright spot looks right, and the rest of the logo looks too dark. Many of the logos seem to me like they're in a shadow.

I lied. I have one other criticism. The logos for the Greensboro Bulls and Durham Bandits have logos with colors that are the same as the background. The black hat on the Durham logo is nearly invisible. The red bull's body is up against a red background. I love the design layout on those two—in fact, they're my two favorite logos in terms of the layout.

Anyway, that's my two cents. Hope it helps. I look forward to seeing more of your logos!

Here's two more cents... and just a little more.

You have good eye, omniart... to show up with more clarity backgrounds should usually contrast with the images.

Just like Greensboro and Durham, the New Bern Bears and Greenville Pirates need more contrast between Image and Background.

Perhaps just a white outline around the image would work fine.

I noticed that with the lighting as well. I am using justafans logo creator and am sure I didn't choose glossy. Not sure if it is an effect in his program or perhaps with the images I am using. I'll have to look into it further.

I tried using lighter backgrounds and it just didn't look right to me. I use only colors that are within the logos so my choices are limited. I'll revisit some of the darker logos and see what I can come up with.

Thanks for all the feedback. My league is coming together slowly. I got OOTP17 a couple of nights ago and have spent the last couple of days trying to get the facegen to work, to no avail. I wanted to start my dynasty in 17 but will probably start it sometime this week in 15.

Thanks again for all the input.

I played around with the Greensboro Bulls and Durham Bandits that omniart mentioned and got these.

I added a white outline to the Bandits and a black outline to the Bulls. I also changed foreground and background colors a bit.

To me, they are brighter, but it all comes down to what you like. After all, you are the one that will be using them.

Some different color combos. I think i'm starting to dig the yellow center and white circle on the Bulls logo.

Looks good justafan. What do you use to add the outlines?

I like the pop of white in the Greensboro logos.

In this case, I used Photoshop.

EDIT: If you don't have Photoshop, the only free online editor that I have found that does strokes (outlines) is SumoPaint.
