Hitter/Pitcher Ratings Sheets v1

Hey all,

For my fellow roster makers/tweakers, here are spreadsheets featuring the hitting and pitching ratings and the corresponding "predicted stats" from those ratings. These are done in 5-point increments for now (hence v1), but I will flesh them out to point-by-point for better precision. Figured this was a good starter though for those who want to go to work on ratings.

Note this is based on "modern" environment.

Hope they're useful.

GH

Don't ratings depend on context though? I mean, if you give every player in the league 100 ratings, they're not all going to produce the expected stats because the league totals would be off.

Right but if you give every player in the league ratings dependant on these predicted statistics, I'm guessing they would all play out like such. Thanks GH!

(sorry about the issue you messaged me about, I'm an inconsiderate dumbass sometimes )

Also on these numbers, you have to realize a couple of things.

This is per 550 AB

When doing splits to find out the results realize that vrhp will comprise 75% of the rating and vlhp will be 25%, as that is the general amount of difference in number of pitchers that the player will be facing. So a rating of 150 vrhp will mean a lot more than a rating of 150 vlhp.

Also with regard to the pitchers. Groundball percentage will have an effect on a players expected results.

just a couple of little tidbits for individuals out there when making their rating structures.
