WrightWing's Historical Facepack 3.0 - 12,000+ Players
12,011 players in JPG format listed by debut year (1871-2005) broken down by decade.
They are/will be available at jazzrack's site http://jazzrack.us/corporate/?page_id=93 and also at Fidel's site http://www.allsimbaseball.com/index....d=17&Itemid=35. I really appreciate those guys hosting mods, as they make the game better for all of us. Both of you guys have my sincerest respect. Anyways, here is the breakdown of players: 1870s 265 Players 100 career G/IP 1880s 555 Players 100 1890s 430 Players 100 1900s 675 Players 50 career G/IP 1910s 854 Players 50 1920s 631 Players 50 1930s 655 Players 50 1940s 749 Players 50 1950s 802 Players 25 career G/IP 1960s 1027 Players 25 1970s 1080 Players 25 1980s 1225 Players 25 1990s 1876 Players 1 career G/IP 2000s 1187 Players 1 I also need to give a gigantic thank-you to OOTP member Vholes for his contribution of his unreleased 19th Century facepack to include in mine. There are about 500 images that came from him and he gave me a big shot in the arm at a time I really needed it to continue. Thanks V. I also want to give a public okay to anyone who would wish to use any of these images for any project in the future. They are not "mine", I just collected them. I consider them "public domain", so enjoy. My Yahoo Photos page should be updated within a week or so for those who may use it from time to time. I don't know where I will go from here with this project. Players are getting harder to come by, and quality images are getting even harder to find. Whether or not there is an update in the future, I hope people will enjoy their usage in the game... |

If this helps those looking for specific time periods, the links on Fidel's site (All Sim Baseball) are broken down as follows;
Part 1 - 1871-1929 Part 2 - 1930-1959 Part 3 - 1960-1979 Part 4 - 1980-1989 and 2000-2005 Part 5 - 1990-1999 Thanks for the kind words, guys. I've spent the better part of 2 years working on this, so the positive feedback is greatly appreciated... |

Easily one of the most comprehensive sets ever made for the game. It may be public domain like you say, but you and those you credit deserve much gratitude for rounding up such an incredible number.

I know I should probably know this by now, but where exactly do we unzip the files to? Also, why does it unzip them into groups then subgroups by year? That makes it quite a pain in the ass to transfer them into the folder that needs to hold all of them for the game to draw from.

Okay, I figured out that they go into the photos section. It still sucks that they automatically unzip into sub groups (years) though. Every time I try to open one of the year folders I get a Windows Explorer error and the folder is frozen and I have to close it.

Sorry, I don't have the new game yet, so I don't know about how they are handled in it.
It was not my intent to make the facepack difficult to use, it was just an easier way for me to keep track of so many players... |

Using Winrar, select all of the folders and click Extract. Then go to Advanced and under 'File Paths' click 'Do not extract paths'. Then it will extract them all into one directory.
