Why can I not get a simple question answered?

I have ask about the same thing in three different places with no luck.

Basically - If you use the Lahamn DB(or a modded one) to import real players does the new OOTP give the players Fielding Range & Arm based on their imported stats or are the just random as in past versions.

Seems like a simple question. But in three trys I have yet to get an answer.

This is important to me and would like to purchase today if I get some kind of response.

Surely someone knows?

I'd like to know this too.

I've checked some ratings of random players and it's hard to tell if the ratings are random or not. It kind of looks random, but...

For example, Larry Bowa's career fielding pct. at SS is .980 while Campaneris has a .964 pct. In the game, I imported players based on their whole career and in this example, Campaneris has a better error rating than Bowa. I've found other such examples (including ones relating to arm and range), so I'm not sure if it's just an imperfect algorithm, or if it's just randomly assigning the ratings.

pretty sure the arod/garlon database has more accurate defensive totals, but i'm guessing that the lahman database hasn't changed so the game would have to randomly make up arm strength totals etc.
