I couldn't see a month in any shape or form. It didn't even take me a three weeks to input every stat from 2005 and re-rate and create every new player in the league on my last set, and that was with just me, but we'll take the long term time frame if you want.

Even if the new rosters were released in the next 10 min, I wouldn't even start playing until they get that patch out. Too many problems to even think about running a league and keeping worthwhile stats.

I'm not hurting without this roster set, I'm fine going with the fictional for now. I will say when it comes out I'll be using it very quickly though. |

The rosters I posted are just OOTP 6.5 rosters that I was working on before this project. You can import them if you want to hold you over. Should have clarified that possibly.
The rosters that Rolen and I are presently working on include complete minor league systems with players all at the appropriate Opening Day level, correct financials, stadiums, coaches, etc. etc. Like has been mentioned, the patch hasn't been released yet, and it will be a bit for the game to run completely smoothly, so we aren't in a rush to release an unfinished product of our roster sets. |

In the 4+ years I've nosed the boards, played every version of the game, and toyed with pretty much every roster that people had released. I've always noticed a tendency to overrate the prospects of their favorite team. I never said it was Rolen, or anyone specifially, just a tendency to maybe see a bit more of their own teams prospects than anyone else. It was also a RARE occasion to see a rosters rankings come reasonably close to reflecting what a Baseball America, Baseball Prospects, anything had ranking systems. I'm not being distrustful, nor accusatory in the least. I was just curious if Rolen and Cubby were trying to get their rankings to either mirror, or come in the general neighborhood of some of the typical rankings you'd see in one of the aforementioned guides. Personally, I think it'd be awesome to do so, in the interest of accuracy I dont know how you could beat it. However, I am aware it's a pretty damn time consuming task, and very appreciative that they've undertaken it. So if they dont have the time to try to balance it, I'd understand perfectly, because 70% accurate is still pretty impressive in this case. And again, thanks you two for taking the time and the effort. |

Will the real hall of fame be in the rosters?
Will the historical leaderboards be accurate ? Will the league awards list have the real historical awards? Will palyer have their real lief awards listed in their accomplsihments? Will pitchers have their accurate pitches? Last edited by HoustonGM; 06-07-2006 at 09:02 PM. |

Unzip the Lahman file into your ootp directory. this gives you a folder named "lahman (something)" Start a new game. at the league setup screen, click the "import historical league" button in the game, open up your lahman folder, and select master.csv Then basically follow what happens on the screen. Remember to change the start year to whatever you desire. |
