for everyone who is anxiously awaiting to play with real players (like I was) - try downloading these 6.5 rosters and importing them:
CubbyFan23's 2006 Opening Day Rosters (v2) RELEASED! -- Link Inside! This set is amazing and I am having a blast learning the new game, while playing with real players in their correct spots. I will probably re-start when the rosters discussed in this thread are released, but at least for now this set is perfect for getting use to the new game. PS - I had nothing to do with the creation of these rosters, I just stumbled upon them Thursday. |

I know you were discussing with people earlier on how you would rate people like Alex Rios and Nick Swisher since they are really coming into their own this season.
On the flip side of that, I was wondering what you have done with Brian Anderson of the White Sox. He showed some nice promise in his limited playing time at the end of last season and was given the starting CF role with the absence of Aaron Rowand. However, he has been stinking it up...and that's putting it lightly. Certainly no one expected him to be batting .150 by the middle of June because he's a much better player than that. Just curious to see what his ratings are like. Thanks.

Have you guys noticed speed ratings importing low? Just something to keep an eye on...I've noticed a bit with my Franchise Stars set...Cool Papa Bell importing with a 25 speed (out of 100) comes to mind. He should be a 98.

If you guys want I'll post team by team reports as I finish them to keep you entertained.
![]() Haven't noticed too many speed problems, the main ones I've noticed is the computer generated players (who were re-done to be real minor league players) having WAY too many guys with 100 speed, or 100 stealing ability, or 100 baserunning ability... |

Fantasy Draft
I just loaded Cubby's last roster and I was going to do a fantasy draft, but I cannot get stats to come up. Unless I am missing something, all we are able to look at is ratings. Has anyone seen a way to look at the stats from the year before?
Thanks in advance for the help!!! Cubby- Your rosters are fantastic. Keep up the good work. |

Cubby,
Not to be a twit, but I have a great story to tell. I have been peeking into this thread, awaiting the release. I have kept my mouth shut, figuring one day soon a gem will come. I was looking at this when my little three year old girl came into the room. She saw the Cubs avatar. She said, and I quote: "Daddy, the Cubs stink." I was amazed at this. She knows a bunch of logos, like McDonald's, GE, and the Bengals, but I had no idea she knew the Cubs logo. Her assessment of the Cubs was spot on, too.

It sounds like someone is raising their little girl right. Now If the Cubs would just learn to lay down for the Reds like they do for every other team in baseball. Man, I've hated listening to Cubs fans at Great American this weekend! Of course, I did take the opportunity to remind one last night that we were a half game from the Cards, and they were 1 from the Pirates. She didn't have a real quick response for that one.

Alright, I'm going to finish up the White Sox and upload the teams to that point so you guys can throw out suggestions / comments. The ML, AAA, and some of AA ratings are based on PECOTA stats (you can read more about this here: http://www.baseballprospectus.com/pecota/)
I am probably not going to budge much on ratings for those players then, but will for potential ratings as I did NOT base potential ratings on PECOTA future stats but just 2006 stats, as well as I need MAJOR amounts of help with pitches, positions, etc. etc. for a lot of guys in the minors. I was able to find most of the guys in the majors (scouting reports from Stats Inc.) and some in AAA and AA, but not all. I'm going alphabetically by city name, so Arizona - Chicago (A) will be done when I have these uploaded in a bit. I've also updated prospect ratings for guys who are in BA's Top 10, as well as some of the guys I saw mentioned in BA chats. These will be done more in-depth when I get BA's Prospect Handbook (Top 30 in each organization) on Tuesday. |
