Lahman format Roster Editor
I'm wondering if there's a reason there's no roster editors available that allow you to easily modify the Lahman database format? I know that you can import the .csv files in Access and edit the data that way, but it's not the easiest thing for newbies to manage. I'm a programmer and have put something together that I use, but it's not fit for public consumption. However, if there's a demand (and no legal reasons one hasn't been created yet) I might be pursuaded to put something together.

That kind of utility would be a big help. I would be interested in using it. I definitely fit under the Newbie category when it comes to editing csv files.

Would be possible, but nobody knows the stats->rating formulas that are used for current season or potential.

"Can you use the Lahman format to import minor league players? "
Anything Lahmanized can be imported. I am working on a Lahman import of the All American Girls Professional Baseball League that was around in the 40's. If you can import girls you can import anything. I think the FaceGen for the girls will be interesting! |
