Its here!!! Newer OOTP9 Rosters

Ok here is what I did. This is the exact same roster that came with the game the only things I did to it was get rid of the extra ppl that where retired and still playing. Thats no big deal, its just something you don't have to do. The next thing I did is what this set is all about. I have UPDATED THE CONTRACTS. Now I went to every major league team in the game and changed (hopefully) all contracts that are at least $1000000. Now I'm not saying I got them all but I tried and I spent the whole day doing this. lol I haven't even played one day in the game. Most contracts are pretty good. Some I had to make a year short or a year long because of game limitations but this shouldn't bother anyone. I hope this will make the in game rosters a little better for everyone.

I have one link right now for the file and its from rapidshare. I hope padresfan will add it to his site so there can be more. If there are problems or questions with the file just ask in this thread. If you see a contract that is all messed please let me know so I can fix it. Hope you all enjoy.

oh my gosh what kinda bs is rapidshare link? I went there and I can't get past the security code which says "only put in symbols attached to a cat" but it's so hard to tell which one is cat and which one is something else. Can you put it somewhere else? I'm eager to play the game. Thanks.

I got the "security" to accept after a few tries, but then it told me I couldn't download and to check if my browser supported Javascript. This is using Firefox 3 with javascript enabled.

So, I figured I'd try it with internet explorer, and after I screw up the code the first time, it tells me I have entered too many wrong codes

Seems their "security feature" is a transparently BS attempt to get people to buy premium accounts by making it impossible to download without one.

Could you upload it on a different site? Maybe megaupload.com, I've been able to download files from there without much hassle.

yes I finally guessed the security code with the "cats" on the letters (almost impossible to determine the cats from the other animals) then go the same error as you did (using IE).

Found a few errors on the Florida Marlins (Helms, Ross, Willingham).

Thanks for your work thus far, would you mind letting us know which teams you didn't pay close attention to so we know where we need to put the finishing touches on this roster set?

Ok thanks for finding the errors. I forgot to change Ross and Willingham. As far as Helms I made a decision to not make florida responsible for his salary because he gets paid 2.15 mil this year but philly is paying all of that salary for this year. Thats why his salary is $1.

If anyone else finds anything wrong that would make a big difference to the teams please let me know. As far as what I focused on and didn't focus on, I spent time on each team and anyone that had a salary of 1mil or higher I adjusted. I'm sure I missed more so hopefully they will be found so I can fix it. Once I have enough things to fix I will make a new file to download.

Maybe hes on lunch. Heres what to do with liriano, go to minn team page and right click his name and go to his player. Then manual put him on the team. This happened I guess because I deleted the multiply of him so it must have did something to the real him

As far as the ratings I did not change any of them, they are the same as they where with the games. Changing ratings isn't something I have the time nor the desire to do.

Maybe some editing to the budgets are in order? The Yankees having a payroll over 200M and a budget around 130M doesn't seem to fly to me. Also, maybe some editing to max cash and other financials.

I know I just ran a quick 10 year sim with this league and after 10 years, the payrolls had pretty much went back to what they are with the current roster set that was released with the game.

If you know of any places online that have that info I would love to change it. I couldn't find anything. I would like to change the market sizes, fan interest, ect. But I can not find any info to help with this. If anyone knows where you can get this info please let me know.

is there any new trick to install? I dled with Winrar and placed in saved games in ootp9. i unzipped into MLB fiolder and renamed MLB.lg and then tried MLB.lg.lg but both come up as corrupt files and won't install. i dled from allsim
