i dled 2.2 and the rosters look good. However when i reach the end of the 1st season (2008) and go to 2009 all of the infielders in the league have a major drop in the fielding ratings. Every ss in the league has a fielding rating of 14. The other infield positions have drops but not quite as drastic. Also Talent ratings for a lot of the players drop out of sight. a player that may be rated like 55-61-54 drops to 1-2-1. this has happened twice i.e. it happened so i started over and it happened again the same way.

Cool website! I'll use this.

Not sure about the fielding problem, I tested it myself and didn't have any problems but I will again after I finish up ratings.

I can now confirm this. I ran two test leagues and it has happend both times.

@waltwa; did you change any league settings prior to the start of your league? If so, what?

ok i went back and started the game over. I changed a few things in the global setup such as turning off the Coaching system and making trading hard. I did not change anything in the league setup.

Well that may have been the problem. i changed some things in the global setup but nothing in the league setup and played quickly thru an entireseason and up to 12/15 and the ratings stayed the same. there really isn't anything that needs to be changed in the league setup so i will leave it alone and go back and play this league out.

I believe so, it'll be late tonight but I'm going to try and push through this and get it out the door finished!

Should have all the players re-rated and top thirty done very soon actually but still have to go through and re-add some of the missing prospects.

DOLA.

Would you recommend we allow incomplete minor rosters or not? I've noticed that if ghost players are allowed that most teams leave a whole single A team empty.

Just a thought.. They could leave the team open because it is a short season team and they aren't playing? Just something to think about.

Hmm, good question and one that might require some testing.

I know a problem with old rosters in the past, no matter who the creator, was having some empty teams at times because there wasn't enough players in the universe at one point or another. Not sure how well the AI has been tweaked for the new version of OOTP because quite frankly, I haven't played it much yet.

Anyone want to throw in two cents?

Nope, though that's a good thought, the even teams that don't have a short A team have an empty single A team.

I'm guessing our only choices are going to be to either use ghost players or auto fill the minors.

Is this after the June draft?

Perhaps we might just have to deal with a few empty rosters until the draft from June 2008 gets an influx of new players into the system?

Good stuff. For the sake of trouble shooting however, could you tell us what changes you had made to the league settings ? There are no settings I can think of that *should* cause what you and I experienced....

This is all before simming a single day. I just told the AI to set up the Minor Leagues and they leave one single A team empty while there is players on both Rookie league teams.

Planning on tomorrow, putting in all these missing prospects is taking quite a bit longer than expected.
