Just so no one stays up, I think I'm going to try and just put it out tomorrow instead. Would like a little more time to play around with a few things before it gets released. Sorry to anyone who waited today!

Hehe. I still went to bed early. I just had nothing to do last night except refresh this page. I know you'll put out a roster so i'm not worried about when. Thanks for all the work.

I can wait for the updated Rosters if it's not to long because I have Leagues never wanting to load at the moment.
John Smoltz has signed on with the Red Sox.

Alright... didn't get a chance to edit pitches/popularities or add in coach photos, so we'll push that back to the next release. Putting things together for last touches, will be up soon!

Wow, thanks Cubby. I'd pretty much given up hope for tonight!
If you need any help with the next release, just ask! And to echo another poster, if you find yourself in NYC, you've got a drink on me. |

Send big files the easy way. Files too large for email attachments? No problem!
Updating first post in a second, hopefully there's no issues -- I kind of put it out the door in a rush, but if there is, I'll be back to fix them and re-upload tomorrow afternoon. Enjoy! EDIT: Upon further glance, I thought the computer was no longer DFA'ing players, but of course they are. Still working on a workaround, but they aren't DFA'ing as good of players this time, which is at least a start. Jeff S., Adenhart, Carlos Gomez, Andrew Miller, and Ian Kennedy were the only players I saw who you could have a legit argument that would not be passed through waivers. You might want to turn computer moves OFF for the first three days so these players can all pass through perhaps? Not sure. Also, I know there are some "real" coaches in the coaches pool that look like they're assigned to a team -- they're assigned to teams in our ghost leagues that should have been deleted -- Markus is taking a look at the file and removing these teams, so hopefully I can have a mini-release of a new file when he does that. So far, I'm noticing that Xavier Avery, Tim Melville, Jordan Danks, Cutter Dykstra, LJ Hoes, and possibly others who I didn't recognize by name exist in the player search but aren't assigned to a team.
Still, thanks for getting this out - it's brilliant fun to play with! |

I don't know if this is because I imported the 2009 MLB Schedule that was posted in another thread or not but...I'm doing my offseason and find myself in the roster screen where I saw a few guys that are injured. I look further into this and the Eastern League (AA) season started on January 7th and goes till June 8th. Is anyone else seeing this happen? I'm thinking it might have something to do with that other schedule.

Hey Cubby nice work on the rosters. I have a thought on the DFA's and Waiver issues for good prospects that you might check out.
I've been running some experiments lately with AI eval settings and human made rosters (your's and an older Rolen made roster) and am seeing that the stats that import with each player from real life really have a huge effect on how the AI deals with players and rosters. Even with the eval settings leaning pretty heavily on ratings the AI still does some silly things. Although not perfect, I've found that the AI improves it's roster move significantly if you weigh the AI eval settings to 100% ratings for at least the first month and then gradually bring up "current season's stats" up until they're about 50/50 by the end of the first season. After that you can add in a little % for last years stats but not until those stats were generated in OOTP and NOT in real life. For whatever reason the real world stats really seem to confuse the AI. Obviously, the more a player's ratings deviate from his real world history the bigger the confusion. In one of Rolen's created rosters I'm toying with now I set ratings to 100% at the beginning of the league (which starts Jan 1st) and go through all of the offseason, spring training, and April's games. The trades and roster moves are MUCH more realistic and logical. Then, I simply take 10% from ratings and the end of each month and give it to current years stats. Then once the first season is over I start splitting it the total between ratings, current year, and last year's stats. You may give it a shot. I figure if you set ratings at 100% for at least the first off season and spring that would help with DFA's and waivers. |

Cubby, imported, updated with latest FA deals, but when I go to team page as commish and gm, its blank, have to go to teams and pick my team to see roster. Same is true when trying to make trade, both teams blank???
Also, after setting up and simming a month, ie, Jan, my team signed a FA, bradley????? Have set options for ml mgrs for roster moves ands lineups only, why is AI makin moves>????

Also, CubbyFan - Koji Uehara was signed by the Orioles as a starter. At the moment he has only 7 endurance. He was a closer in Japan recently, but only because of some disagreement he had with his team, not because of any endurance problems. |
