Nifty. Once good ole 2.0 is updated I'll finally give it a try. Thanks for all the effort, Cubby.

Another nice set Cubby - one thing I do want to ask. I started witht he Indians and the MLB roster is perfect - no complaints. One thing though - the minor league (rookie thru AA) I have about 90% one star potential - why is this?
Thanks for your hard work Cubby! |

Most prospects have only one star potential - even in real baseball.
Think of it like this - most bench players in the majors are one star players. And most minor leaguers don't project to even be bench players in the majors. Even a good minor league system, like the Marlins, has according to John Sickels, one of the better people who ranks prospects, only 11 players who rank above a C+. If your players show improvement in their abilities through their minor league performance, their potential will increase (and if they are hurt or play poorly, their potential will decrease). But most players in the minors will never have major league success, in the game or in real life. BTW, Sickels has only nine Cleveland prospects ranked above a C+. This is more a design decision Markus has made about how a player is rated. Apparently there is no difference at between a usable bench / role / utility player and a guy who couldn't hit high school pitching.

Nope, not on this end. Just tried playing an entire game and it works. Make sure you turn off coaches as well once you put the file in. If it's still crashing, I'd just wait until I upload this new file. It works though.

Off.
Going to go ahead and do some house cleaning while I'm at it and update a lot of the ratings and such for the MLB'ers with better projection systems as well. Updating player jersey #s for those in MLB as well for those of you who have always been wanting that in the set.

Hey Cubby or anyone else, I asked this earlier but no one responded. Love your rosters, but the 40 man for the Padres is a bit off and I was wondering if there was a way to correct it myself without sending the player through waivers etc...
Thanks! |

Sorry about that -- easiest way is to go in as commissioner, turn off waivers, and then you should be able to re-arrange more easily. After you're done, just turn waivers back on.

Hey Cubby I understand you are probably trying to get this fixed ASAP for all of us but I turned coaching off and inserted the coach file but when I load the game everything works fine until I click on anything that has to do with the roster..ie reviewing the roster and making any changes to the lineup or pitching staff. It crashes to the desktop everytime. Its October 1st and It seems I can simulate more but I just cant click on the roster links. Im guessing I should wait until you upload 2.0 and see what happens? Your rosters have been working perfectly in my game until Sep 30 but since then I cant play anymore..I was just hoping I didnt have a seperate problem besides the one you're trying to fix now

Alright... let's try this one.
Send big files the easy way. Files too large for email attachments? No problem! Had to do another workaround to avoid another crash (oh how I love these) but I think this should work. If anyone wants to give it a test, please do. |

So is there any way to get back to the season I was simulating before it started crashing? I had made it to the end of the season and I had the Giants with a winning record and Lincecum with 21 wins!! I mean the Lincecum part is expected but a winning record for my Giants was a miracle!
Hopefully Its possible to revert back to the game where I left off...Otherwise I'm not sure if I can do it all over again. I even told my girlfriend I was sick this weekend and couldn't hang out so I could begin my Giant dynasty . Please tell me it wasn't all for nothing!! By the way..I am new to this forum and I hope I'm not alone when I say that this is the most addicting game EVER. Its like crack, man. |

Try taking the coaches.dat file out of the file I just uploaded, put it in your folder, start the game and turn off coaches.
Let me know if that works! |
