Hm I'm not seeing that either. When I go to retired players there's only one of each?
Where are you looking at? There was possibly a previous MLB league in here but it shouldn't be popping up anywhere. |

Ah well that's semi-good at least. There's a duplicate MLB league that I deleted, so that's why two would pop up when you search. However, if you go to retired players off of the actual MLB league page there should only be one of each.
I'm going to try and get Markus to delete our duplicate "ghost" leagues when this is all wrapped up which should solve that little problem. Syxx -- I forgot about sending you that file, I'll package it up now. Let me know if you get a chance to do any stadiums. This is embarrassing but the entire time I've had this game, I never realized you could quick search for player names using that box.

If you turn one of the Babe Ruth's into a Coach he will go away from Retired.
If you want to try and put WOB09 in with this League because I have and it will just stop the Game and report back if your game stops but that won't help me. Iv'e tryed to create Zip file for the Quckstart and I try to upload it to filrfront so you can downalod but it says zero in it.

im actually playing with the mets.. first 4 games of spring training i didnt score less then 12 runs. and put up 21 in the last of the 4. my brother also made a team with the mets and he worked the contracts and heres who he picked up, cc sabathia, lowe, krod, manny, and teixeira without any settings changed from your rosters. all of this is without offering lucrative deals also.
we are both just doing trial runs until the next version of the rosters come out. and after i guess we will set the owner thing to low like i was told to do. seems like it would be more realistic. any other suggestions? Last edited by billfbrennan; 12-21-2008 at 05:52 PM. |

i was just messing around and the owners were approving a deal of 166 mil for one year to john smoltz, not sure where that setting is to make them not approve any deal i offer to anyone. if anyone that can clear up this problem for me that would be great. also i imagine its a problem for anyone with the new rosters.

very sorry guys. this was an easy fix. like i said im new to the game and the reason the owners were accepting any deal i sent was because i didnt turn commissioner mode off once i took control of a team. very sorry for wasting your guys' time.
cubby still looking forward to the new rosters. thanks to everyone for helping out |

Hey guys, this looks great.
I'm a major noob, and I'm not entirely sure of how to install this patch once I download it. Can anyone give me a quick explanation or point me in the direction of where I'd find it? Thanks for the generosity. |

Note friend: WOB09 doesn't involve roster sets. But, something tells me you already knew that.

will you be making all the changes up to date in the game? like krod to the mets, sabathia to the yanks. i think it would be better if you just made them based on the rosters at the beginning of the offseason. with free agency starting and everything.
and are you going to fill the minor leagues, because i have whole teams of players missing, and none of the teams are full. great work so far, keep it up. |

Very nice but I had some questions:
To me, the rosters being "perfect" aren't a big deal as from day 1 those players will progress and regress etc. Game breakers would be progression settings etc. What I'm wanting to ensure for a potential league, is that things like stadiums and managers etc. are set. I know all of this stuff is floating around on these forums but to be honest, that's the ONLY reason why I haven't bought OOTP 9; I just don't know how to do some of these things or where to even look. I'm a perfectionist with having things set up properly, from logos to the auto-uniforms matching, to financials, progression settings and ballpark dimensions, but wanted to see if doing these changes was something manageable for me? I appreciate the rosters and hope to see them finished completely, what a task wow, but I also would like to get some use out of this game if I indeed make the purchase. With the release of MLB Front Office Manager, by 2ksports, this game's biggest realistic need is a more "out of the box ready" approach. Again, rosters I understand with licensing etc. as do I understand with the logos but it would be beneficial to OOTPdevelopments to have it set where all you're doing is changing names, logos, stadium names perhaps, ala the way Front Office Football used to do it. Ok, that's all. Good luck with the roster set Cubby.

my experience with Cubby's sets is that they are almost perfect to my standards right when I download them. The player ratings ARE perfect. The stadiums usually are as well. I remember having to put the stadium pictures in with the last set, but that didnt' take long at all. I'll usually download a separate uniform set and put those in. Doing the MLB clubs is quick; doing it for the minor league teams takes a bit longer.
I've started with Cubby's set before, spent about 30 minutes customizing it to my needs and then played 30-40 seasons worth of baseball. I've probably gotten more playing time out of this game with Cubby's roster set than most other video games (with the exception of Civilization & World of Warcraft). Once this new set is out, I'm prettu sure you will be able to do the same. |

Thanks for the info. Is there an anticipated release date for this particular file? Days? Months? Also, do people usually make a "hey download me, drop me in this folder and play" file including all of the bells and whistles? I just don't get the customization end of things all that much and want to find one without any "oh crap that's not right" moments 2 months into a season.
Sorry for being so needy, I'm excited to give this game a try but the past two versions I simply couldn't really play as I was overwhelmed; and I don't like fictional.

As for the release date, don't bother asking. The set will be done when it's done. no sooner and no later.
as for the customization things, you can always make changes as you play. like the minor league uniforms, for example. i don't do them all at once because I have severe A.D.D. Instead, I'll do a few each time I play. It's not like you have to get them all done before you start playing. If the players aren't progressing as you think they should, u can always modify the player development settings. |

There are Leagues in WOB09 just replace the Fictional MLB one with CubbyFan's one because it would be fun to see the Red Sox trade like Mike Lowell to Kansas City T-Bones for so on.
Roster as of January 1st 09 will be good. MLB Front Office Manager for the PC?

Is there a guide to explain how to do this? I just can't purchase this game until I know for certain I can get an accurate MLB experience without spending 3 days setting things up.

Hey...been away for a few days but back now. Send me the file to my e-mail address at Syxx34@myway.com. or do you have a file I can use and export to for you to import the new stadiums? Also link me to the website that you use or I will just search for them myself.

1) download the file 2) right click --> extract into the correct folder (Out of the Park 9 / data / saved games) 3) play! you can also make it a quickstart if you want, that's what I did. that's really easy to do as well. |
