Editing an existing roster set

If I wanted to edit a roster set before I load it how would I go upon doing this? I wanted to move some players around and change some ratings...

I usually load the game and then make all my roster moves through the editor, then I make uniform changes, logos, hats, team colors, ect. Then I back everything up before I advance to the next day. It usually takes a couple of hours a day for 2-3 days.
