Roster with Players with career averages

Been interested in creating a "superleague" that might let you play Derek Jeter, Ty Cobb, Sandy Koufax, and Evan Longoria. Any player from any historical point, with their stats based on an "average" year by that player.

Is this possible? Barking up the wrong tree? New to all this, browsed the forums and manual without an overly obvious answer :-) Any nudges in the right direction?

In an off-shoot, also interested in the idea of a team full of one player...for example, how would a team with 9 Pete Rose's fare? Any thoughts here?
