2011 MLB High Res Photos Are Done & Ready to DL: Updated 5/11
NOTE:2/1/12
Due to the FBI closure of Megaupload, the links are no longer valid. As soon as I finish with 2012 rosters, I'll get these upped to the new OOTP Mods site. Old links in Post #11 7/18: Here's a new link for the JPG photos...They are now named correctly and in lower case format for Linux users. They are in separate team folders so you'll have to copy the photos from the folders to your game\data\photos folder and not the saved games.......images folder. NOTE: Macs use a different location. Not sure what that is.. MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service Updating is underway finally...Here's the First of 30. These are not in Separate Folders and include, Coaches, GM, Owner and trainer pics. I'll post the links as they are ready. Arizona Diamondbacks Update:7/18/11 MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service Atlanta Update:7/18/11 MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service Baltimore Update:7/19/11 MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service Boston Update:7/20/11 MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service Chicago White Sox Update:7/21/11 MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service Chicago Cubs Update:7/22/11 MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service Cincinnati Reds Update:7/23/11 MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service The png link is still in post #11 These are high quality 2011 MLB Opening day 40 Man roster photos 170x255 which work perfectly in the game. They will be automatically resized where necessary with no loss of quality..look great on the players profile page. I only use real photos and needed something that would look great in BB cards that's why they are larger in size. Here's an example of the actual size, how it looks on the player profile page and how it looks with the all new ootp12 BB Card which look much better in the game. The blurriness is because it gets converted to jpg when I attach it here: Last edited by Bigrod; 02-04-2012 at 01:42 PM. Reason: Updated photos and added PNG link 5/11 |

I would do minors but I can't get the png photos for them. Eventually, once I'm done with beta I'll have the usual 90x135 ones that you can get at milb.com. I can only get the high quality ones for the 40 man MLB rosters. Yes I'll update when players get traded, but can only do it if espn does...BTW, if anyone wants to get these themselves, there at ESPN in png 350x254 format. You just have to crop them to the correct width (170x255) and convert to jpg to get em to work right in game..I use Paint.net.

They can be high-res or standard res, but is anyone working on a 2011 facepack?

Yes there will be a 2011 facepack..we're working on it now..both MLB and MILB. I'm hoping to have the MLB done the end of this week. Not sure how soon the Minors will ready as we still have roster work to do as well.
Buster..you can get the pics at espn with transparent background .just load the team 40 man roster page, click on the players name, then click on the players pic and then save as..it's png format. I don't know what graphics program your using, but in paint.net there is no background. I just have to crop the pic so it fits the 170x255 background so it looks right in the game. Or if you want to wait...I'm also releasing them in layered format..if someone wants. Most likely psd format as paint.net can use those as well with a plugin which I have if someone wants. Works great. Last edited by Bigrod; 04-11-2011 at 02:27 AM. |

Sorry for the long delay, but I finally have em all done in 170x255 jpg format with background...twice as large as the ones usually available. And for those of you that don't want them with a background..I'll need a couple more days to sort out and upload them in png format with the transparent background so you can do your own. These are completely up to date 40 man rosters including Coaches as of yesterday 5/4/2011. Here's some more examples.
Download is Here: File name: MLB 2011.zip File size: 46.62 MB Once you get to the dl page, half way down click on slow download. Then enter the captcha, click on download, wait a few seconds for the timer to run down, then click on slower download and the download will start. It's a fast download. Photos in PNG format with transparent background are here: 2011 PNG MLB Photos.zip File size: 132.60 MB Last edited by Bigrod; 05-11-2011 at 12:56 AM. |

Yep they do. thanks for reminding me, and as soon as espn updates him, I'll post it. There was 1 other that I still need to get as well,
Mets-Ronny Paulino (He's in the pack, but not the best photo) Till I can get a better Brett with Texas, Hope this will help. Last edited by Bigrod; 05-06-2011 at 02:33 PM. |

Gonna have a big update soon, now that I know all the players I need to complete the 2011 set. It'll be about another 150 pics give or take. Also need to add bench coaches, but that's gonna take awhile. Once all is done, I'll get it posted to Padresfan's site. For those that have already dl'd, I'll up just an update set so you don't have to dl everything again.
Thanks |

Real simple speedy, first thing is to put them all in the ootp\data\photos folder. Now go the the ootp preferences screen and under the facegen tab, set the picture search mode option to...search for photo first. it's the last option. The rest of those settings are fine as they are. If you already have a game running, you may need to load the pic manually. Just click on the players name and on that page click the bottom right tab "Pictures" from that select auto-reload picture and you should get the players pic. If that don't work, click the import picture option and go to the photo folder and find his pic and load it that way... If your starting a new game and already have the pics in the photos folder...and you set preferences as above,,,the game will autoload all of them in...there are other way of doing it as well, but I just can't remember at the moment..hope this at least gets you started...good luck and enjoy..
