Photos not pulling correctly
I downloaded a major league facepack and added the images into the /news/html/images folder of my saved game. However, when I'm in the game, the faces it generates are fictional faces rather than using the faces I've put in place. The images are named with the players' names, such as Carlos_Marmol. It appears, though, that the game is wanting me to use a player ID to attach. I thought, based on reading the guide, that it was intuitive and would use a name instead of the ID. I don't really want to go through and label every picture with it's ID. Is there a setting I've missed somewhere that will force the game to look for a name rather than an ID?
Thanks in advance! Jim |

You've got them in the wrong place....as of v11 they need to be in the data\photos folder and not in any saved games images folder. The game looks in the photos folder first and then copies it to your saved game images folder and renames it using the player id#. Then in the preferences screen under the facegen tab, set the last option to "search for photo first" or something like that. Leave the other facegen options at default.
Hope this helps.

I'm having the same issue. I have two folders (one for AL and one for NL) located at C:/Program Files (x86)/Out of the Park Developments/OOTP Baseball 12/data/photos and "search for photo first" selected in the facegen tab of the preferences screen, still nothing. I can manage to pull up each picture individually but there's no way I'm doing that for all teams.

Here's how mine is set. This setup uses real pics if you have them and facegen if you don't: Last edited by Bigrod; 11-09-2011 at 04:11 PM. |

I see, so you're saying that inside the photos folder there should just be all player pictures, no subfolders. I will try that, thanks for the detailed response!
edit: worked! Thanks a lot! Last edited by dg32; 11-14-2011 at 06:27 AM. |
