Historical Ballpark Files (one-click setup)

FILE AVAILABLE THROUGH ADD-ONS CENTRAL

For OOTP15/16:

These files contain separate folders (with .prk files and ballpark photos for each team) for each MLB season from 1901-2015. Once these files are installed, OOTP15/16 will automatically locate and use the .prk files and ballpark photos for all teams when a new historical league is created.

NOTE: The user still must assign ball location markers by hand.

For OOTP 14:

Place the downloaded folders in an accessible location on your hard drive (e.g., inside the OOTP "ballparks" folder). When you import a new season from the OOTP historical database, you can install the ballpark photos and .prk files with a click of a button.

FOLLOW THESE STEPS:

1. Go to Game Menu

2. Choose Setup & Options

3. Choose League Setup

4. Click on Setup Ballparks

5. Click on Import/Export

6. Choose "auto-import all ballparks"

Navigate to the folders you downloaded and locate the proper season

The files inside this folder will be greyed out. No matter. Just hit the Select button. (You'll get a message telling you how many files were imported. If some were missing, see the "exceptions" section below.)

You're done!

EXCEPTIONS:

If the same stadium was used by more than one team during the season (e.g., in 1974, the Mets and Yankees both used Shea Stadium); or if a team is assigned to more than one home stadium for the season (e.g., the Mariners played in both the Kingdome and Safeco Field during the 1999 season). In these cases, you will have to do a manual import.

1. Go to Team Home Page (for the team that was not included in the auto-import)

2. Choose Options & Ballpark

3. Click Edit Ballpark

4. Click Import/Export

5. Choose "manually import data from file into this park."

6. Choose the appropriate .prk file (e.g., Shea Stadium_NL for the Mets, Shea Stadium_AL for the Yankees).

You're done for that team. Repeat the steps for any other teams that were not included in the auto-import.

NOTE: The user still must assign ball location markers by hand.

Still waiting. In the meantime, here's a link to the complete file. Extract the files. Then extract the folders in those files to your "ballparks" folder in OOTP. Then follow the instructions in the OP.

For some reason, the files do not show up on Add-Ons Central (at least not for everyone). soadeathdealer and I have tried to correct this problem. Frankly, I've lost hope that it'll be resolved (though I believe soadeathdealer has contacted Andreas for help).

Here's the link and how to add SOA's server to all in one dl's.

Step by step to add a new/alternate server.
1. Start OOTP.
2. Click the add-ons central link. Or in game, click the Game tab and select add-ons central.
3. In that window, click the add a server button and paste in this link:
soa-skateboards.com/mods/ootpmods.xml
4. Click the Reload add-ons list button.
5. Locate pstrickerts historical ballpark files (there are 4 parts) mod and select it.
6. Click the download button and you should be all set.
7. Once the download completes, click the install button to auto install the mod to it's proper folders.
One more note:
once you get this done...find your addons.xml file and make a backup copy of it and save it in a safe place. I don't do default installs so mine is in the ootp's data\addons folder. Yours may be in your ootp's documents folders.
Reason for backing it up is that if you reinstall\patch your game, it will get replaced with the original and you'll lose SOA's info and have to reenter it. If that happens, just replace the original xml file with your backup.

Frankly, I've lost hope that it'll be resolved (though I believe soadeathdealer has contacted Andreas for help).

Bigrod OOTP Stats Master Join Date: Mar 2009 Location: Maine Posts: 3,075	Here's the link and how to add SOA's server to all in one dl's. soa-skateboards.com/mods/ootpmods.xml Step by step to add a new/alternate server. 1. Start OOTP. 2. Click the add-ons central link. Or in game, click the Game tab and select add-ons central. 3. In that window, click the add a server button and paste in this link: soa-skateboards.com/mods/ootpmods.xml 4. Click the Reload add-ons list button. 5. Locate pstrickerts historical ballpark files (there are 4 parts) mod and select it. 6. Click the download button and you should be all set. 7. Once the download completes, click the install button to auto install the mod to it's proper folders. One more note: once you get this done...find your addons.xml file and make a backup copy of it and save it in a safe place. I don't do default installs so mine is in the ootp's data\addons folder. Yours may be in your ootp's documents folders. Reason for backing it up is that if you reinstall\patch your game, it will get replaced with the original and you'll lose SOA's info and have to reenter it.
