2013 NCAA Division 1 Template Ready Works with ootp 16
Edit 8/20/15 Works with OOTP 17 too.
Read this post on how to use with ootp 17: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...ml#post4020897 As a result of working with lucasberger on the community roster project, and many hours of research, here's the full 2013 NCAA D1 template. Many, many thanks to Lucas for providing the needed fake roster csvs as well as some real player ratings. What you get: Real teams in their correct Conference. The real 2013 rosters. Correct player bios where humanly possible. All players were initially set to their respective position as played this year. Info was gathered from each team's 2013 boxscores. Season length is the standard NCAA season length. Simply extract this file to ootp's world_templates folder: Same link as below only on dropbox. Below is on Mediafire. 2013 NCAA-With Stats.rar To play as a stand alone league: 1. Create a new game 2. On that screen, click the advanced tab. 3. On that screen, click the Templates tab and select Load World Template and select the 2013 NCAA Div 1 file. 4. Start your game. To add to existing game, it's probably best to do it before Feb when their season starts.: For existing games: 1. Go to your league setup page and click the Templates tab and select add template to world. 2. Select the 2013 NCAA Div 1 file and your all set. 3. If you want to add it as a feeder league, simply click the rules tab on the league setup page and in the drop down next to "select fed league", select the league you want to feed with players from the ncaa, set your options and you're all set. Once you've imported this template, you need to set the options that you want to have as I simply put all the rosters and data together and left settings at default. I've run this through one complete season with no problems at all, but if you find anything wrong or have any problems, please let me know. Enjoy and don't forget to say thanks. Edit 6/3/13: For those that may have problems getting the 2013 MLB and NCAA to start on Jan. 1, see post #17 below. I've uploaded a 2013 MLB template to make it a little easier, but you need to follow those steps listed in that post in exact order. In another couple of weeks I'll have another one ready that'll have complete career stats for all the players that played previous to 2013. Edit 6/11/13: New Template is now available with full career stats for all except first year and transfer players. Here's the new link. Enjoy!! 2013 NCAA-With Stats.rar Last edited by Bigrod; 04-14-2016 at 08:59 PM. |

Thanks to bigrod for making this up. It's essentially a slightly older version of the Community Roster Project NCAA db with all the HS, D2 and Juco stuff taken out of it. He's done some incredible work here and on the NCAA Community Roster.
Be aware, the ratings aren't quite right, as less than half the teams have been rated. So you may get some funny results. I should have the rest of D1 rated within the next couple months at which point we'll release an updated version. EDIT - I'll post a new version of the Community Roster soon, so that anyone who wants can grab the updated ratings from that and apply them to this. This is also the start to a major ncaa database which will cover the years 1992-present. I have all the data, but it takes an incredible amount of time to get it all formatted to conform to ootp's db.

To use as a feeder, how do you get it to line up with MLB this year since it begins in Feb?

Or, you could start a new 2013 mlb game and save it as a template then create a new game and click the Advanced tab and load the mlb and the ncaa template . That should start your game to Jan. 1 of whatever year you chose when you created the game. I have not done this, but in theory, it should work. Edit: Just tried it and it works like a charm..full 2013 MLB with full minors and the ncaa all set to start Jan. 1, 2013 Last edited by Bigrod; 05-29-2013 at 03:42 AM. |

I tried this method 3 times and each time I get the same start date as the MLB date. Could you post your .lg files so we could use it?
I would really like to play with the 2013 Opening Day rosters with this as the feeder league, that would be cool. Quote:

The main thing is that certain players from your NCAA will be available as the new draftees. This instead of the games normal behaviour of creating it´s own draft-available. However one still has to consider the High School players in the draft, so how will I setup this ??? |

If you don't set the ncaa to feed, then theoretically, none of those players should be in the draft pool. Bottom line is that it should not interfere with the high school..only create less fictional players in the pool. |

I would like to get this merged with the WOB and if we ALL (including me ) can find statistical histories as far back for historical players (J.D. Drew, Posey, Koch, etc.) to add to the database that would be great!
Also...now time to start building 2014 and setting up the new conferences.....32 conference champions in the tournament. |

Still need to add ratings for 144 more D1 teams. Plus stats, though bigrod's got that taken care of. Plus I'll be adding in a lot more HS players who will end up in college next year. Plus a lot of full D2 and Juco teams. So once I've got things looking good in the big db for this year, next year will be easy. Most of the incoming freshmen and juco guys joining D1 teams will be made already, it'll just be a matter of switching them to their new teams and tweaking ratings where needed. Haven't seen anything about this. I can't imagine they could actually get a team together for next season at this point. Where did you see that?

A Little off topic....I could see the schools in the Pac-12 and Big Ten that don't play baseball add the sport soon, simply due to the revenue stream they have....not to mention, the B1G schools might also had hockey since they will be the only official D1 conference actually sponsoring hockey next school year. |

Steps need to be followed in exact order or it won't start in Jan. (If you load the mlb first the game defaults to March so load the ncaa first and the mlb second and your game will start Jan. 1). 1. Create a new game. 2. Click the advanced button and make sure you set the correct year. 3. Click the templates tab and select the 2013 NCAA template and let it load. 4. Click the templates button again and select the MLB 2013 template. 5. Start the game. Here's the 2013 MLB template. MLB 2013.rar Enjoy and any problems, let me know. |

I used the process to set my league to start on January 1 with the NCAA set to feed the MLB. I would also like a HS feeder league, do I just create one as normal through the league setup screen, and then would I need to assign that feeder league to feed into the NCAA league? I am curious how the draft pool will be created since I have never used a feeder before. I assume that under my current setup I will get the NCAA in the draft, but am not sure if the game will make up high school players or if I will only get the NCAA players. If the game will invent players for high school when the draft pool is created I probably will not need to do anything correct?

For now, I'd suggest to save your setup as either a quickstart or template. Then add the high school and quick sim to when the draft pool is released and view it as that will tell you what you want to know for now. Sorry couldn't be of more help. |

How does this dork with feeding the MLB...it seems to be there are way too many NCAA teams to feed an MLB universe. The talent levels would be off the charts!! Are people using adjusted PCMs? Also...what if you add in additional High School leagues?
