Quebec baseball League
Here’s a little Quebec based league I created. It’s based on the Ligue de baseball junior élite du Québec, Ligue de baseball majeur du Québec, Can-Am League, 1930’s Provincial League and common sense. I’ve used teams from all these leagues, and others.
It’s pretty much what a Quebec league should look like if baseball reached highs in popularity in the province. What I’ve tried to create is a league where a player who played affiliated baseball is going to be a superstar in this league. It’s pretty much a beer league, with adjusted creating modifiers lowered to fit that plan. To make it more realistic, I’ve restricted anybody not from Canada to play in the league. Why would they want to play there anyway? Throughout the years, I’ve had MLB players in decline coming in the league like Ryan Dempster, Jason Bay, Chris Leroux, Scott Diamond and others. Since they’re dominating, they’ll last for years. Dempster hasn’t retired yet and he’s almost 45. When it comes to logos, some of them are from the actual real team, some of them were found on the web typing pretty much anything in Google image, some of them are my own creation and some of them are modified. Thank you to anyone I might have borrowed their logo. Here’s the league structure. As I felt having a full minor system made no sense, I’ve created an A level and a Rookie level. At the rookie level, some team are fully independant, which has made for some interesting results. The “Major League” is divided in two leagues, two divisions. Northen Division Ottawa Rapids Rouyn-Noranda Miners Laval Alligators Gatineau Hull-Volant Southern Division Longueuil Ducs Granby Guerriers West Island Explorateurs Montreal Royaux Southern division Trois-Rivières Aigles Thetford Mines Blue Sox Sherbrooke Expos Victoriaville Cactus Northen division Quebec Capitales Levis Castors Rimouski Pirates Saguenay Voyageurs A level Ligue métropolitaine de baseball Northen division Joliette Gangsters St-Jérôme Lions Repentigny Royals St-Eustache Bison Southern Division Haut-Richelieu Pirates Sorel-Tracy Amiraux Valleyfield Vikings Brossard Riverains Ligue de baseball de l’est Eastern Division Alma Rois Beauport Harfangs Beauce Jarrets noirs Rivière-du-Loup Huskies Western Division St-Hyacinthe Brasseurs Shawinigan Diables Coaticook Rocket Drummondville Poutine Rookie level Ligue de baseball central Cowansville Voyageurs Acton Vale Castors Magog Monstres Plessisville Braves Asbestos Ouvriers Lac Mégantic Bûcherons Ligue de baseball de la Mauricie Becancour Acadiens Nicolet Sudistes Cap-de-la-Madeleine Barons St-Étienne-des-Grès Royaux Louiseville Loups Pont Rouge Indiens Grand-Mère Athlétiques La Tuque Truites Ligue de baseball de la Vallée-du-Richelieu Beloeil Aigles Boucherville Saints Lasalle Cardinals Saint-Constant Cobras St-Hubert Canards Terrebonne Gladiateurs So, is anyone interested in this Quickstart ? If yes, I'll upload it (as I have to redo it since I'm in my 9th year in the league). If not... well at least I'm having fun. Last edited by Nicdutch; 05-20-2014 at 11:15 AM. |

Can we have the St-Hubert Poulet? It just seems to fit better than that greasy Canard.
