National Teams
Is there a way in the game to assign players to the nations they are from? Or is this something that has to be done manually, which would take too long to do?
Im trying to make a WBC type of universe of 6 geographical locals: Asia/Americas/Ocenia/Middle East/Europe/Africa. Obviously the teams from the islands won't have many (if any) players, so I was hoping to do either: 1) have all players (including historical) be put inter respective countries 2) have half the players be real ( and go to their countries) and the other half be fictional (and they go to their countries) or 3) would fit have to be fictional and they go to their countries? Ideally Id like those 6 geographical leagues have 3-4 groups where 2 of each group make the 'playoffs' which is the actual WBC. Is this possible? If it is, is it an amazing amount of work? If it is not, what ideas do y'all have that could get this to close to what Im hoping to do? Make any sense??? I have the logos/unis/and caps ready to roll... THANKS! |

There is no way to do this within the game, but I do agree it would be a very nice feature.

assuming you make separate leagues for each region, you could try this way... it's not a quick/automatic process, so there would be effort involved... in the 'players' section, you would need to pick out each country you want represented in that league and give it a percentage of the total player pool (and also set the random percentage to 0%), so that would control the amateur pool every year to only provide players from those countries. You'll also want to set the following items to 'none' to avoid "outsiders" from showing up:
-generate international amateur free agents -generate international established free agents -generate free agents from independent leagues -international scouting discoveries |

so if i had, say, 6 countries in Asia. I select them (this goes for each lg) and set the % to 0 would Japan have a chance to draft a kid from Laos? and so on? OR would Japan ONLY be able to draft a kid from Japan, making a true world classic?
And how do you enable each 'lgs' winner to play other lg winners in a season for the world championship? Last edited by jparker2112; 05-13-2015 at 06:02 PM. |

A little late to the party, but eh. If you create an association, you can select winners from each league, top 2, or a custom formatted playoffs. You can also set the association rules to allow no foreign born players by team nationality, and every team would have to draft players from their respective countries.
