2016 Season QuickStart (Work In Progress)

I've been working on a fairly immersive quick start file for several months now. Here's what is featured:

Accurate MLB/Minors (transactions up to date, players ratings adjusted)
NCAA
Junior College league
High School league
Overseas leagues (minimally edited, but some transactions made)
Ages adjusted (birth years moved back one year so that their in-game age will match their 2016 age)
Service times updated for 2016 season (major work in progress, I'm only through 3 teams so far)


I've spent a lot of time working with the NCAA. For the major conferences, I grouped them in pairs and created college feeder leagues with two subleagues ("SEC and ACC" and "Big 12 and Missouri Valley" are two example leagues). Just in case you were wondering, these NCAA teams are filled with players who are actually on those teams' rosters in real life.
I also have an "NCAA Other" league, which is used to place players whose college teams are not featured in the other conferences. There is also an "NCAA: Best of the Rest" league that features real NCAA teams (typically strong ones) whose conferences are not featured in this quick start (Cal State Fullerton, UL Lafayette, College of Charleston, etc.). These NCAA teams also have accurate uniforms/caps/logos thanks to the fine work of the OOTP community (I should post their usernames once I track them down - they deserve so much credit!). The High School league is filled with actual baseball prospects (much of the information I used to edit them came from Perfect Game) and will continue to grow as I create more of them. Both the High School and Junior College leagues feature generic teams filled with actual players. As you can probably guess, I'm very serious about injecting some realism into the MLB Draft for this quick start.

At this point, I just wanted to tell you guys about this project and gauge your interest in it. If there are enough of you interested, I might be able to upload what I have completed on Opening Day. If you have any questions, please ask!

What I have so far could best be described as a very rough draft, but I'm thinking about uploading it as a QuickStart tomorrow. There is still a lot of work to do, but the MLB rosters are pretty accurate and it is playable. Hopefully, some of you can test this out and tell me what needs to be improved, and I'll continue to work on this file for the rest of the year, eventually transferring it to OOTP 17, at which point I'll aim at another release for next year's Opening Day. Of course, if you guys want me to post updated files at different points throughout the year, I'd be happy to do that as well. It's just that adding in so many real college and high school players is very time consuming, in addition to the task of keeping up with MLB/MiLB transactions.
