Help
Would someone please tell me the secret to making these schedules. I'm am in the process of building one for an 18 team league of just 40 a game season and its taken me hours to build line by line. Is there a program or some technic that I don't know about. I'm using notepad++ which has a great find and replace mode but its still taking for ever. And I want to expand my league by 2 teams every 5 years for the next 20 years, so redoing the schedules will be a pain.

My secret is having spent 5 years doing it and in that time developing a system that includes experience, spreadsheet methods for building and configuring series-based layouts, and scripting language programs for fine-tuning, evaluating, and producing output. Yet it still takes substantial manual work. I would be quite happy if there was a ScheduleShop Pro that people could fire up and use to spit out nice schedules.
I have been thinking of doing write-ups to help explain and demonstrate what I do and how I do it. But motivation and time for that are hard to come by. |

I think I would spend money for those explanations. I know right now it is long and tedious to make these schedules. It kinda takes away from the game as the schedules generated by the game itself leave a lot to be desired.
