Fictional League Schedule Question
Hi!
This is my first serious attempt at a fictional league, and I'm flummoxed by a scheduling issue. Setup: 1 League, 2 sub-leagues, with 6 teams in 1 division each, for a total of 12 teams. I have it set so the season begins 24 March, and each team plays a total of 60 games, 12 per league opponent (no inter-league play). A schedule was generated with no problems, but that's where things got a little flaky! The season begins on the correct date, with roster expansion 2 months later... but the last scheduled game is in September, for pete's sake. I'd like the season to end in late June or early July. Any suggestions on what to do so they have 3-month seasons? Of course, later, as the league expands, the schedule will change, but that's something I can take care of another time. Oh, yeah. I have them playing 3-game series, if that helps.

this isnt what your are looking for but it might shed some light on what u want.
Unique 12 Team, 60 Game Schedule Request I am probably wrong but unless u edit your schedule by hand i dont think you can make a 3 month schedule. |

I guess I have a decision to make as to whether to continue this or not.

Use the interleague schedule for 1 sn, the next season should still use the format and have various start times vs the 2 that it has, but uncheck option for interleague and clear out history of the league. Not sure if it will work though. My thought on this is i used the 126 game 12 team schedule for 4 sns only the 1st season had the start time of 7:05 for all teams the 2nd through 4th had multiple start times and didnt follow the loaded schedule. |

Those are very intriguing ideas, I'll try those. Thanks again, CF

I am no gmo (the most prolific schedule maker back in versions 5-9), but I have some experience editing schedules. If they still work the same way, which they probably due, the original poster could pm or email the schedule file and I could edit it. It might be as easy as changing the dates of the game in a text editor and then re-importing into your league. |

Whoa, wait... is the game now taking 60 game seasons that start in April and automatically stretching them out until September!? That may be bad news for your league but that is potentially AWESOME news for people who want to do fictional 19th century style stuffs.

For what it is worth my short season league imported into version 12 with it's schedule still ending in May. So that may be a work around (create the schedule in version 11, then import to version 12). |

Fortunately, Jaxx has agreed to help with a 3 month, 60 game schedule, so hopefully, something can be done. If not... I'll think of something else, ha.

Hopefully, I can learn from Jaxx how it's done, and then I'll be able to do it on my own, since I have no idea how to do it at present.
