Issue with schedule not rotating teams
I'm playing a custom schedule found on here for my American Baseball League (over in the Dynasty area).
Now, after the first season the game goes back to properly load the custom schedule again, however it does not rotate the teams randomly as promised by the online manual and I can not find any way to make it rotate them. As it is I face the exact same schedule again as in the first season, and I HATE that. Is there any way to fix this? I don't have the least little idea of how to manually edit anything outside of the game, and manipulating the schedule in game sounds like a pain in the rear end. Heeeelp...! |

Built in schedules rotate. Custom ones maybe not.

It's the one in here: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...e-request.html
Is there a subtle trick to make them do? I spent most of Saturday teaching myself how to manipulate the schedule file to at least switch my team with another one, so at least I do have a different schedule - very pathetic workaround. |

This schedule seems to be working correctly, as it plays 3 games against 6 different teams in the other league each year. It randomly chooses the teams in the other league so you could have repeats year after year. Perhaps you've just been unlucky.
I ran a test league over 5 years and picked a team (Quebec) to track. In year 1 the teams they played in the other league were: BAL, DET, FW, DEN, SD, SF Year 2: JAC, IND, FW, DEN, SD, POR Year 3: JAC, BAL, POR, DET, SD, SEA Year 4: SD, SEA, IND, POR, DET, AUS Year 5: DEN, AUS, SF, BAL, SD, DET So over the 5 years they played 11 of the 12 teams in the other league. They played SD all 5 years, and never played LV. All the other teams were somewhere in between. So it does work, but of course it's very random, so it might feel you're playing the same schedule some years, but you're not. At least according to what I see.

While I would very much welcome this kind of randomness in interleague, this isn't just the interleague pairings. The whole schedule was 100% the same, starting with series against the Crusaders, Condors, and Bayhawks, continuing exactly like the first season and ending with Indians, Canadiens, and Crusaders again.
So if it works for you I must have done something wrong, apparently. |

You're not reloading the schedule every year right? If you are then you'd get the same schedule in the same order every season.

No I didn't reload the schedule. It just came back the exactly same way. Which is not supposed to happen, at least it works for you.

All right... here's one last thing. Here's how I have the Options set up in the Game Setup screen, if you wanted to compare to yours.

This matches mine, too.
Well, thanks for your help. Maybe it's a bug. |
