Schedules......
First of all I would like to thank the schedule makers on this board, Cheo25, thehip41, ruwisc.. those are three that I can name off the top of my head. I am sorry if I am missing others. I truly wish there were more taking on the requests. Schedule match ups are not difficult, putting everything together to make a schedule is not as easy as it seems. I think these guys are great and truly appreciate their work.
Secondly, I was truly disappointed when I looked at the boards on the number of requests in the past year that went unfilled, many with no replies. The guys that were doing them are very good and needed, but we really needed more of those devoted to making some schedules. It is good having a variety of schedule makers because the style of the schedule maker schedule are very different. No one does them the same. I have done schedules in the past. I quit doing schedules in 2009 and really never thought about doing more but decided it would only be the right thing to do to help. I have received a lot of enjoyment playing the game since 2002 and felt it was time to give more at this time in my life. I am truly here only to help. Now why am I posting this? I want those requesting schedules to know that I am not limited to a set standard of schedule. I try to help as often as I can regardless of schedule specifications. Some may have read that I only do schedules that have most of the games in the division and only do schedules with even number of teams in the division, thus insinuating that I will only do what some feel are easy schedules, leaving a gap for those with other unique specifications. A 4 division 5 team schedule is not a difficult thing for me to do and is not unique. These are a small sample of the schedules I have done so that you need not worry that I may not be able to help you if you need a schedule and the other great schedule makers are not available. I am posting these to show what I have done, kind of like a mini resume. Thank you for reading this and I will continue to help those with their requests to the best of my ability. 1. I currently play in a 28 team league with 4 divisions of 7 teams each, What I would like is for each team to play each team in their division 9 times over the course of a 100 game season, creating 54 total division games. I would like the schedule to start on April 1st(Idk if you even need to know this information but I'm going to put it out just in case) and have a 5 day all-star break. 2. I would like to have a schedule for a 2 subleague set up. League A - 1 Division, 6 Teams League B - 3 Divisions, 4 team each (12 teams) League A will play each team in it's own league 18x (9h, 9a - 90 games) and each team in League B 4x (2h, 2a - 48 games) - TOTAL 138 games League B will play each team in it's own division 12x (6h, 6a - 36 games), each team in the other divisions in it's league 10x (5h, 5a - 80 games) and, as above, each team in League A 4x (2h, 2a - 24 games) - TOTAL 140 games. 3. I have a feeder league. 50 teams with 2 sub leagues. 5 div and 5 teams. I was wondering there can be a 2 week off period for the all star break and most of the games are against the division with little interleague. oh 100 games would be the game amount. Thank you. Almost forgot that one. |

i've grabbed a couple of schedules from here as i expanded my league and they've worked great. So far, the two i needed were already in the manufactured list! Thanks.

SandMan, thanks for the shout-out. I like creating schedules, and I'm usually happy to help anyone in need. It's a labor of love, and it's something I've been doing for notebook paper and tabletop baseball games since I was a teenager 30 years ago.
Typically, I post less and follow the board less from August to February because I also enjoy American football and usually focus my energies there. Throw in a temporary relocation from my home because of recent flooding, and that's made my presence scarce, as of late. But I can usually carve out time to help someone with a schedule need. If any of the existing schedule-makers need me to take on a schedule to help lighten their load, please message me, and I'll be happy to tackle one. And I'll try to pop around more often to take up some of the schedule-making slack. Last edited by cheo25; 09-08-2016 at 09:43 AM. |
