I have a "Frustrating" thread in the general discussion forum that sums up my position.
What I need is to learn how you mods access the data in the dat files. I'm going to write something to parse the almanac to get the data from there and then try to put it into ootp8 so I can get the league history back. If it won't work please explain why. If not, please give me a hand. I'd appreciate it.

How good is your programming? I've written a dll which allows reading/manipulation and saving of a lot of the .dat files
players, retired, teams, parks, world, coaches, names are virtually complete (save for the fields I can't fathom) and that's generally enough to allow fiddling with the structure.

I used Redsoxford's program to manually input most of the history for the USBA. I plan on doing more with it in the offseason as it is difficult to do while in the middle of a season. So far it has done wonders and if I were you I'd give it a shot.
