What I have done is to make a template of your universe.
And from that create a version 2.You can now see the difference on the simulation titles.
(apart from the obvious that I've created it in 1956, the titles reflect the season year)

Now I see what you're saying...this probably should be put into tech support, it seems like hopefully a very small cosmetic bug. As far as I know, there is nothing I can do to fix it.

Good call on the template...just make sure to copy and paste all of the logos, uniforms and caps into your new game! Thanks for downloading!

Hello

i can't work on my computer too, i have the same message:

DATABASE::load_database - could not load world file

What could i do? Do you have an idea for this problem?

If there is a template or a new version where could i dowload it?

All I can suggest is updating to the latest version of OOTP. The quickstart was created with the latest version of the game at all times. I guess some time soon I could just make a template, and include the logos and uniforms folders. I'll see if there is a demand.

Question for you, what ballpark pictures do/did you use or suggest using?

I'd use Gambo's....but stadium pictures nor dimensions besides MLB aren't updated, although stadiums and capacities are (for the most part).

This error sounds like you have an older version.

I'm on 9.1.2. I've also deleted the quick start, re downloaded and unzipped and tried again. No luck. I'm assuming this must be a Mac issue.

I'm running on a mac and had a similar problem. But, I got it to work. Copy all the files from the quickstart folder and paste them in a new league folder.

so from WOB.quickstart to WOB.lg (or whatever you want it to be called)

And make sure to put the .lg file in the saved_games folder. That should work. Good luck.

Thanks for helping out! I am aware of the games sometimes sensitive ways, so I was expecting a few people to have issues, but your explanation and workaround was perfect.

No problem at all. As a guy who had never really tried fictional leagues, I found this file to be awesome. Haven't even thought about going back to "real" leagues. Appreciate the work. Love the file.

This is awesome news! Glad you're enjoying the universe. I love using fictional players because I find it very difficult to separate personal feelings when it comes to playing with real players, so this quickstart seemed like a perfect compromise IMO.

I unfortunately was unable like some others to load this as it is giving me the database error. Can someone walk me through how to convert it to a template so I could enjoy the work of this fine fellow?

Just loaded with NO probs, now how do i delete the MLB and NPB players and import real ones for these 2 leagues? Can't realluy see doin it 1 player at a time.

Here is what I suggest...wait. I'm currently coming very close to wrapping up a huge project I've been working on for months. This project includes completely updated (best to my ability atleast) MLB organizational rosters, NPB, KBO, CPBL, and even independent league rosters. It's basically the World of Baseball 2009, but with real players, and less leagues to slow down play. Just wait though, it's very close to being released BETA.
