AU Stuff

I had been working on a new project for 2009, but due to health issues, It has been delayed.

I have spent the past month in the hospital with a brain aneurysm. I had a 7 hour operation, but I survived it. I just for home from the hospital this week. I spent 2 weeks in intensive care and I am on meds now that affect my thinking. I almost died, but I guess it was not my time.

I will be releasing something for this year, just not sure when I will be able to work on it.

Glad to hear all is well. Consider yourself lucky, 2 weeks is a short time to be back home.

My knee pain suddenly seems so pale...

I'm almost ashamed to feel this pain!

Get well and take it easy!

Thanks for the support and the good words, it almost made me cry, but there is no crying in OOTP baseball forum.

I am fully recovered now, I am off the big meds and awaiting a follow up just to make sure that everything is still working.

I have had problems with my tummy the past year, dropping 30 pounds due to a blocked espopegus, and they solved that problem while I was in there. I am now able to eat again, and it is just not cream of XxXX soup. I had a hamburger today!

I am getting my strength back as I am able to eat once again.

I have heard a lot of horror stories about people that had the aneurysm, where they had to learn to walk again or were disabled, not able to use the right side of their body, etc. I am glad to be alive and I feel I had a second chance on life. Let's hope I don't mess this up

Larry, let me echo the sentiments of others above in wishing you a speedy recovery, the return of as many pounds as you would wish to come back given your rediscovered ability to eat solids and the return of your brain function to an acceptable level for you. Now on to my difficulties with your AU2007 LogoWatchDog program. I have tried everything with this puppy, but I can't get it to work in OOTPX, which is frustrating because I saw its brilliance in the OOTP9 demo.

I must be missing something. Note: 1) Cleaned out old program that I had used in the demo 2) Downloaded the program via Internet Explorer 3) Extracted to the proper logos file in OOTPX and the AU2007 file just to make damn sure it would work. All I get is the eye looking at me telling me: "In 0 I added 0" and then when I position the cursor over the eye it tells me: "You are in the year 0". Any ideas? I'm tapped out unless I stumble upon something in my clumsy ploddings. At the moment the possibility of that seems rather remote, but then again I somehow managed it last time even though I have no idea how. Thanks and take care of yourself.

EDIT: Oh, and if anyone other than Larry knows how to do this, please feel free to chime in as I wouldn't want to unnecessarily disturb his recovery.

Wow, sure makes all of the little things we complain about seem so silly. Glad to hear you are feeling better. Take care of yourself and ease back into your projects.

Larry,

Consider me among those who are very happy to see you back on these boards. OOTP 9 came out last year the day after I had a kidney removed, and was still worried about not making it... we miss your mods a lot, but make sure you a ready before you start doing any *work*

Take care, and get well

Dave
