I tried to download 10.75 but the link appears to be dead. Does anyone have this? I used to use this mod but apparently did not save it when I switched to a new computer...

Also, any news on the web app?

I'll find a copy and get it online.

Online version? Not likely until I can see what Markus for with financials in the new OOTP version.

That was easier than I thought thanks to having it in my Dropbox.

Here's GMExcel 10.75

Awesome! Thank you!

Another quick question since you are the Excel guru. I thought I read something about an owner DB with possibly their spending and patience ratings. Is something like this available anywhere?

What about a DB for fan loyalty?

Thanks again!

Umm...I'm not sure of another tool that does this. But here are some of the components of GMExcel:

Quote:
MarketCalc 10 helps you figure out modern media and TV market numbers. It's not particularly useful for using it for anything other than modern numbers, though it will adjust market size numbers backwards for older years, it's really a modern tool meant for a modern age.

FireMGR is a ultimate solo management tool. Instead of jumping from team to team across your career or staying in a job well after you've stunk up the joint, FireMGR forces you to win or go home. When your Owner Confidence score is lower than zero, you have to fire yourself. A great new way to keep your solo games interesting.

NEW! Accountant X: This is a return to MarketCalc's roots. I've integrated the MarketCalc 8 historical tool into the modern suite of GMeXcel with some improvements. Accountant X will revive your solo play by giving you a budget and cash to work with annually, which factors in your market size and team success. Best of all, Accountant X works for every year from 1901 until 2100! You just enter the year you want to play into the AcctXYear tab and the numbers will automatically adjust for the proper generation. (Props to ctorg for building this functionality into MarketCalc 8.)
I'm not sure of another tool that does what you're talking about and generates those numbers for you, though.

OK, no worries. I guess I can try to find payroll data and guesstimate 1969 owner spending and patience. Attendance numbers are likely a decent indicator of fan loyalty...

I did noticed in MarketCalcX v.10 that "Oakland" is not an option in "DMA Name" but the metro area is in "City Name". How can you determine Oakland's market size without being able to select it?

I had one last question but now it slipped my mind. D'OH! I'll post it if I think of it. Thanks!

I think Oakland's DMA is San Francisco or something like that. So just use that or a % of it.

Hey darkcloud. After two seasons in a league in OOTP11, I have imported to OOTP12 and honestly don't trust it to handle the financials. I feel like it's going to bankrupt the teams. How, and when would be the best time in a season, to adjust budgets using this tool and using it for all seasons there afterwards?

I think I'll take a closer look at adapting this for OOTP12 if there's interest. I keep thinking each year OOTP will render this tool useless and here we are several years later and still having issues.

As for the best time to use it? I'd suggest the off-season just after players become free agents usually in November, depending on your league setup.

Other than the web version of this which I simply have never had the time to implement (or frankly, the skills) I am wondering what improvements this can have for OOTP12 if there is interest. Or have we reached a point where OOTP12 is good enough for financials? I've used it and feel like it is basically the same with a nice coat of paint, but I know that using external tools can be more onerous than one would like at times.

Still if you're a user out there that would like to make some possible suggestions for inclusion in a MarketCalc 12, let me know and if there's enough interest I'll put one together.

The crazy part is, I spent about 15 minutes looking for this thread just to re-download this tool last night. Too weird. :O

I definitely still use this. OOTP finances just get absolutely insane for me. In a 12 team modern league, every team shouldn't have a 100+ million dollar budget. Small markets don't exist in this game.
