Sound project
GJK and me are currently discussing a way to make this game even more enjoyable and thought of creating new sound files for the game.
So far GJK has made a very nice Enter Sandman file and I will be working on some others during this week. We won't promise you anything but our aim would be to provide a file with numerous sound files for OOTP community. If you want to join or have any proposels or ideas, feel free to respond via forum or email. |

I would suggest checking out the Jock Rock and Jock Jams CD's...they always contain great tunes.

The best batter's box songs have to be
Larry Walker's "Crazy Train" Chris Stynes "I am the Man in the Box" The latter has to be the coolest idea ever to be pumped out over a loud speaker. Who knew Chris Stynes was a wordsmyth? |

I just stumbled upon this thread, thanks for starting it Skywalker...
I have about 5 songs done, and I'm at work and don't recall which ones I used but they're contemporary and commonly played at stadiums. Crazy Train and Enter Sandman being two of them. AC/DC "Hell's Bells" being another. I need to polish them up a bit, but I've mixed in crowd noise, reverb and echo to give it a stadium sound. I'll be more than happy to put together a readme.txt file and zip up the set once done and email it to anyone interested. I'll suggest which files to replace - I've been using them for over a week now and 9 times out of 10 the song will kick in at the right time....2 run double to take the lead and "Crazy Train" blares out over the P.A. Pitcher gets a bases loaded 3rd out swinging and "Hell's Bells" plays. Really adds some nice atmosphere I think. ![]()

Not sure if there's a lack of interest, or nobody checks the mod forum, or if everyone just likes the generic sounds, but anyways here's the list of songs that I've now used:
Crazy Train Enter Sandman Machine Head Imperial March (Metallica rendition) Hell's Bells And one that I just forgot the name of..... I want to replace the worst sound in the game, rally2.wav I think it is....the brief and faint organ. Can anybody recommend a good rally song replacement? I'll reference this thread in the "Addon's" thread of the main OOTP6 forum for more exposure.

I used to grab a bunch of .wav files from the internet, and you can get them from several places. For instance, look for movie and tv themes in google - I always thought that Battlestar Galactica had a pretty cool theme song to use in baseball (yeah, I guess that dates me), plus a whole bunch of others are out there
(including "The Natural" - I used to have it for High Heat back when the game was decent).
