From what I have seen, compensation picks for free agents are incorrectly described in section 19.5.2 of the manual. They appear to be transferred from the signing team, not additional picks. In a solo league I have just run, in the 2008 draft I got compensation picks [round/pick]: 1/7, 2/3, 3/11 in addition to my team pick 23 in each round. According to section 19.5.2 the picks are additional picks offered at the end of each round – how do I end up with a round 1 pick 7 then? From memory, the draft screen only showed the regular 30 picks so I think the picks are being transferred from the signing team to the team to be compensated (as per MLB “compensation picks”).

In any event, I would like to see both compensation picks and supplementary picks in the game as per MLB if we can.

I noticed this too, and given that as of now, they can receive the pick even if it's in the top half (unlike in MLB), I'd much rather have them only at the end of each round, unless we're allowed to make it so the higher picks can't be compensation.

Yes, the manual is incorrect, as I just found out today. I will update the manual, and Markus has been requested to change the comp pick model for the next version, but I don't expect it to happen in a patch...

Thanks for pointing it out. I'll be releasing an updated Game Guide approximately together with the first patch...

I have not paid attention to it yet but if I sign 2 Type A FA's from different teams who get's my 1st rd pick and what does the other team get?
