Unusually High .AVG's?

With the default league totals and with the option checked for having it change every here, here's my top 5 Season .AVG's:

1. Luis Polonia .4443 - 1989
2. Hugh Duffy .4397 - 1894
3. Rick Miller .4350 - 1975
4. Dave Cash .4347 - 1973
5. Dave Cash .4293 - 1970

Dave Cash hit .400 8 Times!

Most of the players over .400 have been since 1960.

Do you have the option just below it checked as well --something like use Historical modifiers for fictional players?

If you do not have both checked there is an issue right now with the league total modifiers not working correctly. It is being addressed in a patch but for now ensure both are checked.

Both are checked i believe, i'll go look. Also, do you get an unusually high amount of long or caeer ending injuries? Seems set at normal, i get a lot of 8-12 injuries and a lot of CEI's. Babe Ruth and Ty Cobb got by CEI in the prime of their careers. Have had to lower it down to Low for now.

I am seeing a few more CEI's in the release version that I believe I saw in some of the beta versiosn. I really havent simmed enough seasons to know if it is really a difference or just perception on my part. Certainly when you lose Ruth and Cobb it becomes far more noticable though

injuries certainly do seem a bit high. In a single season I had almost a dozen people get injuries of more than 8 months.

This is one thing that's encouraging. In the past, OOTP didn't come anywhere near modeling real injury frequencies. Even with my 6.5 league set to "high," there still just aren't nearly enough. I've haven't tried "very high" yet (still not enough pitchers), but I haven't been happy with this in past versions.

I'm glad to hear this has finally been addressed.

Would you like a Bataan Death march setting?

That might be nice too.

Actually, I just wish "normal" meant "normal MLB frequency." For OOTP6, it didn't - it meant "about 25% of MLB frequency." In fact, what I'd really like to see is less random talent drops and more talent drops tied to injuries with more frequent injuries.

I'd also like to see lots more minor injuries with fewer guys getting tired. That way, you'd actually have a handful of guys play 162 games each year, with most playing less because of minor injuries. (Of course, I don't know if this is fixed in the new version.)
