In the Sim I ran Gehrig had the absolute most amazing stats.

5146 hits
927 HR's
3173 RBI
.322 AVG.
.419 OBP
.997 OPS
1838.2 VORP

He won 6 MVP awards, and 6 WS rings

He played all his career with the Yankees untill the the last half of 1951, and then 1952 with the St. Louis Browns

the ol' iron horse did exceptionally well in my current sim too... oddly enough, he also went to the St Louis Browns (but much sooner than yours). Played 1925-1930 for the Yankees, then signed with the Browns and stayed with them from 1931-1952.

.970 OPS

9 time MVP, 24 time all-star, on 2 WS titles with NY.

I used the recent arod/garlon DB, which also included some notable negro league players. It was kinda cool to see them show up in the league and get that "what if" sim for their careers as well. Top performer there:

Satchel Paige:

98 career shutouts (1st overall)
4495 career strikeouts (1st overall)
428 career wins (1st overall)

and in another "what if" career:

Herb Score:

244 wins
4045 career strikeouts
struck out 400+ in a season 6 times (peaking with 423 in the 1963 season)!

Those are rather impressive numbers!

Quick question regarding amazing numbers, I just did the 1980 season, Reggie Jackson hit 65 homers, Mike Schmidt had 61, and George Brett won the triple crown. I did do a fantasy draft before the season, but is this still common? Also when you start historical leagues, do you base ratings off of career/remaining/peak? Not trying to take over your thread. Just amazed by the numbers.

My version of Gehrig wasn't quite as impressive, but he was pretty close. Then again, my version of Gehrig stopped playing a full 10 seasons before either of yours. He played from 1923 until 1941, spent his entire career with the Pittsburgh Pirates.
