For those who want historical/fictional drafts.
After some testing I was able to incorporate yearly historical & fictional drafts.
I think this is especially important for those who want Major League Baseball to have a "in league" rival league. 1. Start a new game. Establish a league name & starting year. 2. Add a fictional league. 3.Input structure, subleagues divisions, team amounts. 4. Name Everything (League, Divisions,Teams) 5.Go to rules section of league, Check the box for importing historical players. 6. Set the # of rounds for your draft. (this is proportionate to the amount of players you want in the draft.) 7.Change the date to june 1st of the current year of the league. 8. Do any othe customizations for your universe other leagues, rules, strategy etc. 9.When satisfied with setup start league. **Important** after stating league go to game setup and set the path for your database EXAMPLE C:\STATS 10. You now should have a historical draft on june 1st with real players. after the june 1st draft go to your game setup screen. disable (Uncheck) the import historical players box. change date to june 10th of current year. This should give you a second draft with fictional rookies. I think of it as having a Proffesional player draft and then an amatuer player draft. after the fictional draft you will need to change back to importing historical players for the following year. (when staring the next calender year make sure the draft date for the historical draft is in the current year. In testing I had the draft date jump forward 1 year) Good Luck. |

This is working pretty well with real/Fictional Players being distributed well.
I did notice that after each calender year the following spring training is the time to adjust back to historical drafting for that year followed by your fictional draft. |

Stu, I seemed to have some issues early in testing this when I tried a early march date. This may be due to some sort of resetting the software does when a new actual season begins-spring training (Pure speculation). I have had absolutely no problems doing any date in the june/july area.

Anotehr option (and easier) is to simply go into the draft screen, and hit the 'create fictional player' button on the bottom. Set it to 'random' and 'draft eligible youngster' (or something similar, I forget exactly what its called), and set it to create however many players that you wish it to.
The draft pool will then be merged.

How are you entering the database path? I have the check box checked for importing historical rookies but the game never lets me fill in the path to the database.
Can the Arod/Garlon DB be used for this as well? -Cork55 |

So after you set it up and it loads, you can go and enter the path destination. |
