Changing franchise locations in historical sims

I was simming MLB starting in 1901 and when I got to the appropriate years - 1902 for the Milwaukee Brewers (MLA) to become the St. Louis Browns (SLB), 1903 for the Baltimore Orioles (BLA) to become the New York Highlanders (NYY) - I changed the team names and changed the "Historical Team ID" under the Options and Ballpark tab to the correct abbreviations.

Unfortunately, the game does not appear to be recognizing the new IDs. All Highlanders/Yankees and Browns players get dumped into the FA pool instead of going to the correct teams.

Has anyone else seen this and/or can anyone help? Perhaps I am doing something wrong.

I don't believe those are the correct abbreviations. Try SLA and NYA.

Sixto, check the teams.csv file in whatever database you're using. It will have the correct abbreviations in there.

You have to hit 'enter' after typing them in as well. They won't stay without doing that.
