Can you mix historical and fictional leagues together?

I have a feeling that this can be done but I'm having trouble thinking it through. What I'd like to do is to set up two leagues (one historical players and one fictional) competing alongside one another, and sim 50 seasons or so. Then, I'd like to merge the two, dropping half the teams in each league and releasing the players into FA. Is this possible? I think the key question is whether you can restrict historical roster importing on a league-by-league basis, but I might be missing something(s)...

Anyway, any feedback/suggestions are appreciated.

You won't be able to merge two leagues, unless they are subleagues and then you would just be adjusting the structure of the league.

As Lidstrom said, you can't merge 2 leagues but you can definitely have a historical and fictional league that are on equal footing. Just create a fictional league along side your historical one and make sure all the player modifiers and equivilants are the same. For the historical one, direct the incoming rookies towards lahman's (or whichever one u want) database. For the fictional one, don't do this, thus the game will create fictional players for the draft.
