Rosters in Historical Career Play

I've been trying to get the setting right to play a "career mode" historical sim for several weeks now.

The problem I'm having is with players that change teams. Historical rookies seem to be updating okay. I've used Lahman and Arod23Garlon databases. After a season players that are signed with a franchise do not change to their new teams. For instance Babe Ruth does not move from the Red Sox to the Yankees. Don Larsen doesn't move from the Orioles to the Yankees etc.

How do you get team rosters to update from one year to another?

Thanks

The game will not change players teams in that way. The only way to control movement after the amatuer draft is to do it manually.

Well, I don't really think that the end can be assessed as of itself as being the end because what does the end feel like? It's like saying when you try to extrapolate the end of the universe, you say, if the universe is indeed infinite, then how - what does that mean? How far is all the way, and then if it stops, what's stopping it, and what's behind what's stopping it? So, what's the end, you know, is my question to you.

That's the way OOTP has always been, since day one. It's not a straight-up historical replay like Diamond Mind. A historical scenario can be used as a starting point, but that's it. As soon as games start to get played, the league will begin to take on a life of its own.
