Cannot find database?
I don't do much historical simming, but I decided I'd try to set up a MLB/Federal League scenario, and I get the error I posted about in this thread:
Could Not Find Historical Database The initial import goes fine, but then I get that error whenever I load the league. Anybody else see this error?

Try putting your database folder inside your OOTP folder and see if that works.

It's like saying when you try to extrapolate the end of the universe, you say, if the universe is indeed infinite, then how - what does that mean? How far is all the way, and then if it stops, what's stopping it, and what's behind what's stopping it? So, what's the end, you know, is my question to you. |

Thanks, I'll give that a try and see what happens.

Sure enough, that fixed it. I should probably log that in TestTrack if it hasn't already been done...

I just clicked to get rid of the window and proceeded to play, but eventually I got tired of seeing the window every time I opened the game, so before the next time I started a test league with a new build, I moved the database to the desktop of my C: drive. The "can't find" window doesn't pop up for me anymore, now that the game and the database are on the same drive. The Game Guide, page 65 bottom, specifically says that the database shouldn't be in the same directory as the game--yet, judging by your and Nukester's experiences, there's no harm in doing so, and it might even be a good thing. Just thought I'd share. ![]() EDIT: I see you have put it into TT, eriq--and you mentioned that OOTP is on your E: drive. According to the other thread you started, you had the "can't find" problem when your database directory was on your C: drive. Have you tried simply putting your database onto your E: drive in some place other than inside the OOTP folder? As I said above, that seems to be working for me.
