Add stats from the past?

Is there any way to insert stats from past years (say I wanted to start in 2006, but wanted to put stats in from 2005 for the player profiles?)

If you import from a database like Lahman's or Arod/Garlon's, players' prior year career stats are brought in as well.

I haven't done this yet, but I assume that only major league stats import?
