Becoming the national team head coach

What about the option of playing as head coach of a national team? Is it available in the game?

No, there are no national teams in the 2006 version. That caused a little consternation around here while the WBC was going on, but I think it was largely forgotten about later since national teams are such a small part of baseball, unlike soccer/football.

Another thing to think about is allowing teams from different leagues to play each other. Every year there's an Asian Championship tournament played between teams from the Korean, Taiwanese, Chinese and Nippon leagues. I can't get a good read on the format, though. The CBL team is the Chinese National Team, made up of CBL all stars. I think the Taiwanese and Korean teams are their respective league champions, but they might also be national squads. The Nippon team is definitely a league champion, but might be the AAA champion, since their schedule ends before the Championship, while the International level schedule runs for months beyond it.

And isn't there a similar European championship tournament?

Submit that in the Suggestion forum, Curtis. I know a lot of us would like to see cross-league games in 2007.

Sure. I'm Italian and here we are mediaticly more interested in the European Baseball Championship within the participation is allowed to national champions and runner-up teams of each European country, than we are in our own Serie A1 League.

I think it is very important and realistic to implement these features next year:

- National teams (& WBS, European national team championships, Olympic Games, etc.)

- Continental championships (European, Asian, etc.)

- 2d engine for matches

After those ones, the game'll be complete.
