Alternative to Ammy Draft
Alright, I confess, I'm not new to the game, but I have a question that seemed appropriate for this forum since it's a new thing to me.
I'd like to create a fictional league in which there is no amateur draft. The new amateur players will be assigned to teams by the commish (me) prior to the start of each season. The idea here is kind of like the teams are scouting the ammy's on their own and signing whoever they find. The two reasons I don't want to do this through an ammy draft is that I want the player history to be accurate and I want to assign a varying number of players to each team. Some teams may get 8 players, other may get 14. Is this something I can do easily without getting the new ammy's confused with regular FA's in my FA pool?
