How to delete fictional players?
I am trying to create a Custom League with real 2006 players with our own teams.
I've read through the forums and learned the tedious method of starting up a new custom league, adjusting my league format etc, and then release and delete all the fictional players before I import any real players. Problem is, I can't figure out how to delete all the players in my current database. After that, I think I'll be ok. |

If you have all of the players to be deleted in the free agent pool, having released them all from team rosters, and you have not imported any real players yet, then you should be able to delete them by using the Delete all Free Agents button in this screen:

Thanks for the quick help.
Are those tabs at the bottom of your screen available in the demo version? I have downloaded that to play around and experiment to determine it OOTP will even work for me, and I don't see that. To release all the players I found a tab similar to "Release all Players into Free Agent pool and restart Inaugural Draft". That was what I used to release everyone. When I get back to the Free Agent screen, it shows all the released players but the only tab I see at the bottom of my screen is "Reports." |

However, I forgot to mention that deleting free agents is a Commissioner Function. You must be signed on with an identity that has commissioner privileges in order to see that Delete all Free Agents button. Either create a new manager identity with commissioner authority or go to your current manager home page and select Play in Commissioner Mode under Profile, Play Mode:
