Is there some place to set the difficulty level higher? I am finding that the game seems too easy to get a team to a high level very early. I have simulated many seasons and find that by watching the waiver wire and making trades for young guys that are not quite to their peak it is very easy to see very successful teams in the first or second year.

There is no difficulty setting in the game but there are ways to make it more of a challenge. Here are three recent threads that you may want look into for answers:
difficulty Too easy Too Difficult or Welcome Challenge? Naturally, I like my response in the first thread but you should go through them all.
