Program shuts down when loading games

1. I have created a few new games. Every time, they work fine for while, but then I am unable to load them. Whether I select Continue Game or Load Game, the program closes during the database load.

2. I get the standard message from Windows telling me the program quit unexpectedly, and asking if I want to send an error report.

3. The error is repeatable. I've even tried quickstarting a mock game just to see if I can load my saved games from the in-game menu, as opposed to the front page that opens when you start the program. But still the program quits during the database load.

4. N/A

5. These are all historical leagues

6. I am a PC user.

John,

Which historical database are you using, and which version? For example, Lahman, Arod/Garlon, etc.

Can you define what you mean by "they work for a while"? Is it a certain amount of in-game time? If so, about how long do your leagues last before dying?

Thanks!

Steve

Also, to add to battists questions, have you followed these instructions exactly when importing?

How To Start A Historical League Using Lahman.

I am using the Lehman database. I have it stored in a folder I created named "stats" on my hard drive. Is it important to name the folder Lehman 53 and store it in the SIG folder?

The amount of in-game time before the inevitable crash varies. Sometimes I am able to complete a season. Sometimes it happens before I've even gotten to spring training.

John,

The folder name shouldn't be an issue, unless you've moved the folder around AFTER you created your league.

I'd like to try to narrow this down some. If you try to create a completely fictional league (no Lahman), can you successfully run a league in that way?

I'll give it a shot. I was thinking of trying a fictional one out anyway. Give me a few days to try it out, and I'll get back to you.
