Text Inconsistencies

I'm not sure where these are supposed to be placed anymore. I'm sure someone will direct me and/or redirect the post.

There's still something amiss with the coordination of pbp and the added hard-coded references and/or sequences. For instance, I'm still seeing a lot more instances than I'd like of middle infielders picking up the ball and then throwing it to themselves for the out. In the last couple of cases I looked at more closely, it appears to be okay in the game log (reference the 5-6 put out) but the pbp will call 3B handling the grounder and then tossing it to the 3B (himself) by name.

As for the PBP, I think it's being re-done for 2007. Obviously, at this point nothing is going to be done for 2006.

As for the news item, I'm curious: Was his OPS for that week over 1.000?

These kinds of posts were being collected it one place, but I simply can't find it right now. I'm adding two more to this post. First is an out count error and the second shows the 10 key again. I thought this was a patch fix, wasn't it?

I had submitted a few posts along those lines, endgame. They've been moved to the Logged section of Tech Support. They're in the thread titled "PbP Oddities".

Thanks. Good to know they're being tended to then. Guess I'll use this thread for now to continue adding to your efforts.

Overlooked this one. Yes, it was.

^ Maybe a quick swing of the leg in the dirt, eh?

Another I thought was text related, but the more I examine it when it happens the more I think it's AI. Maybe I'm wrong, but if the batter hits a grounder to the 3B with a man on third, I think it unusual for the 3B to make the throw to first while the runner on third scores.

I've seen a few situations where a runner on second will hold with a grounder to the SS, but there seem to be a number of man on third scores with a GB to the third basemen. Just doesn't sit right with me as a rule, maybe now and then with an extremely fast baserunner taking right off with the pitch. Thoughts?

Don't know abnout RL but in MLB2k6 it happens all the time, case in point just won a play-off game becuse of that situation, runner on 3rd - 1 out, hard hit ground ball to the 3rd baseman and the 3rd baseman went to first to get the out while the runner on 3rd came in to score. Happens about half the time in that game. The other half the 3rd baseman will throw home to try and cut down the runner (the runner will turn around and usally get back to the bag) allowing the batter to get to first most of the time.
