1.0.3 Update damaged OOTP

I started playing again OOTP over the holidays and today I discovered that there was a new patch available. I downloaded the patch and installed it without any trouble, but when I restarted OOTP, The start up screen and all the other screens have no text... no letters, no words. The text is invisible. The background graphics are all there, dialogue boxes, button, etc. but nothing has a label. The game is unplayable.

What is wrong? Why did all the text disappear? How do I fix this problem? Has this happened to anyone else who installed this update?

I have an Apple iBook with 768MGS of RAM, running OS X 10.4.8.

It sounds like your skin needs to be rebuilt. I am not familiar with a Mac, but I will tell you the instructions for a PC and hopefully you can follow.

1. Go into your OOTP directory (typically C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\OOTP.....).
2. Go into the data => skins=> brown green subdirectory.
3. Delete the skin.bin file located here.
4. Restart OOTP and the skin should be rebuilt and hopefully the problem fixed.
