Need Help

hi my name is ryan and i recently downloaded the demo version of out of thepark baseball 2006. i did this because i recently got an email from you guys telling me that the 2007 version is almost out. I have been a long time user of baseball mogul and I figured i would dl the demo version of ootp instead of buying it since there's no sense paying for it when the 07 version is right around the corner. Up until the ootp wouldnt let me go any further i was loving it. It was much more advanced than baseball mogul. Now from what the demo says it is supposed to be a 30 day trial period. I just dl it 2 days ago. i started a season in 2001 and my current game date is 08-01-01 and the game will not let me go any further. Everytime i try to advance whether it is one day, one week, one month or anything else the demo notification box keeps popping up right away and the game is not advancing. So far from what i've seen in this game i'm really excited about the new version that is coming out. But i would love to be able to test this versionn out a little more before i go and purchase the 07 one. i want to see how the offseason and playoffs go and also player developements and such. is there any way this can be fixed?

I'm sorry you are having this issue with the OOTP 2006 demo. You can try PM'ing Marc Duffy from SI to see if he can help you with this issue. However, the demo for OOTP 2007 will be releasing next week so you can also give that a try before purchasing it. 2007 is absolutely amazing and I don't think you will be disappointed when you play it. I am also a former Mogul player that stumbled across OOTP years ago and was blown away.

But I would take the other option instead. Wait until next week and DL the 2007 version demo. THIS is the game you will want to be playing.

No, it can't be. Although the demo doesn't say so, it cannot advance beyond August 1st. What the 30 day limit does is allow you to advance up to August 1st as often as you want. In order to get to the 2nd you need to pay for the game.

Don't bother to post that that was a bad decision on the part of management. They've heard it too many times before, and they're NOT going to change it. The 2007 demo will work the same way.

WOW...I think that is the dumbest thing I ever heard. If that is how they made the demo. Basically how am I supposed to know what the rest of the game is like if I can't get past Aug. 1. Why would i want to buy it after not being able to play a whole season to see what the game is truly like. That really makes me mad and I'm very dissapointed in that aspect. The demo shouldn't have a 30 day limit then it should state that it you can only play have a season. BOOOOO I think they just lost a customer over that.

Well, I do not know the reasons behind this, but this may not be the way the 2007 demo works. You may want to wait and see when that is released next week.

ill prolly dl the demo of the 2007 version to see if it has changed. but from my perspective as a customer i want to be able to see how the offseason works, how the playoffs work, and everything in between. even with a 30 day trail(with a full version of the game that is) you can see as the seasons go on how the game developes players and certain things that pertain to making a career in the game. it isnt just about one season let alone a half a season. Ill tell you one thing if baseball mogul would have done this i wouldn't have bought that. i wouldnt have realized how fun it was if it stopped the season right after the trading deadline. same thing goes for this game. i was really enjoying it until it stopped advancing. for instance say you were going to buy a new tv and they only let you hear the sound and didnt let you see the picture, would you pay for it? or would you buy something you already knew and already trusted. now i know a tv is alot of money but its just an example and i dont want to spend 35 bucks on something if im not completely sure its what i want, especially when i have a game that im happy with now. just my opinion
