6.12 nor 6.5 will open with Vista

Got a new laptop computer with Vista Home Premium, and I installed OOTP 6 and 6.5. Neither will load at all.

Or do what I did on my new Dell. Immediately nuke Vista and replace with XP.

6.12 runs fine on my Vista machine for three months now, so it has to be what you did.

I had a very simple and smooth install, so I can't say there are any 'tricks' other than right clicking on the .exe file and checking the 'Run as Administrator' box. Even if you don't do that, the program should run, but a window will pop up that you have to click the "OK" button every time you start the program.

Both OOTP6 & 6.5 that I recently downloaded work fine on my computer, but then I've had the administrator option disabled for some time. The only thing I've noticed is that it takes just over a minute for the game to load up. After that, its smooth sailing.
