MLB2006 with Minors Quickstart (beta)

This is NOT intended to be a substitute for the rosters being created by various well-known OOTP community members, but ...

With assistance from The Great Demo, I have just completed importing the rosters from avsfan534's v2.0 QS into the v3.01 universe created by Matter 2003. The avsfan rosters are (I believe) based on rosters created by Cubbyfan for OOTP6.5 and there have been some issues noted with the transfer of certain ratings. I am not sure whether the avsfan rosters were based on the most recent (v3.0) of Cubbyfan's OOTP6.5 2006 rosters - if anyone knows, perhaps they can post.

The quickstart is not yet tested, but the rosters all seemed to import okay after a bit of work by The Great Demo. If anyone is interested in testing this quickstart out or prepared to make the 30MB .rar file available for download, then perhaps they can post here.

Sounds great and look forward to seeing it released. How did you incorporated the Cubby OOTP6.5 roster with Matter 2003 baseball universe?

Okay - The Great Demo has finally cracked it we think. Beta 3 of this (based on Matter's 3.1 universe) is done. Anyone willing to test it out, contact aewin1969 or Demo15 on AIM and we'll send it to you.

If anyone is willing to host this for us, that'd be great as well. i tried to email the winrar file to the OOTPmodsquad but yahoo only allows 10 MBs to be emailed at a time and this ******'s at least 25 MB big.

Okay - should be available for download soon at OOTP Mod Squad and if simsport can post a link as well that would be great.

Please note:

1) Contracts didn't import so you will need to Assign Fictional Contracts in Game Setup.

2) Some leagues we don't have real rosters for are currently empty so you will need to either delete these leagues or Fill with Fictional Players in League Setup or you will get the illegal number of players message when you sim.

Please note the qualifications in the first post.

it does not but it does have the real financials from all the leagues including international ones.

It was made using the latest version (V3) of cubbyfans 6.5 roster. Also I was just wondering what the major difference was between the original QS and adding it into the database.

matter2003, has a bigger universe (international leagues and the sort).

i uploaded it to simcentral.net but the site's owner hasnt updated his files system yet.

apparently the file is too big to email through either of our email clients to modsquad or some other place we tried.

most ppl have been getting it by IMing us on AIM and doing a file transfer.
