Hmmm, I followed the instructions on how to change the default player photo and it didn't work for me. Oddly, it's still using the original photo despite the fact that I renamed it in all 3 skins. You'd think, at a minimum, it would show NO photo if it didn't like the new one I'm trying to use.

My suspicion is that you may not have deleted or renamed the skin.bin in each folder (e.g. oldskin.bin) and allowed each to rebuild. This is best done while the game is not in operation, then starting the game. The last skin used will rebuild upon loading. If you use the other skins, then take the time in-game to switch skins via the Preferences option and rebuild each additional one in turn. You should not see the occurence after this.

I did rename it in the one skin that I do use and I'm not really sure from your post if you meant that I should delete/rename the original skin.bin for ALL the skins. Regardless, I'll give it a shot later!

Thanks for the info.

Ok, it works now. I would like to suggest that in the Customization Guide, it be noted that ALL copies of the skin.bin must be renamed/deleted in order for the default photo to be changed.

Thanks for the help!

All right. Something's amiss in 1.03. I've followed all of the steps I did previously and even re-read the Customization Manual to ensure that I remained true to even the info I, myself, had passed along. I can't make the TIE guys or Mr. Mummy go away. I can't, for the life of me, figure out what I'm doing or not doing this time any differently than before. I've tried it with every skin. (going to look again now at the other skins again) but to no avail. I get the default TIE photo instead of my own. Ideas?
